Psalms 8:2You have made clear your strength even out of the mouths of babies at the breast, because of those who are against you; so that you may put to shame the cruel and violent man.Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established praise because of thine adversaries, to still the enemy and the avenger.O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! For thy magnificence is elevated above the heavens.
Psalms 8:3When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have put in their places; When I see thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and stars, which thou hast established;Out of the mouth of infants and of sucklings thou hast perfected praise, because of thy enemies, that thou mayst destroy the enemy and the avenger.
Psalms 8:4What is man, that you keep him in mind? the son of man, that you take him into account? What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?For I will behold thy heavens, the works of thy fingers: the moon and the stars which thou hast founded.
Psalms 8:5For you have made him only a little lower than the gods, crowning him with glory and honour.Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and splendour. What is man that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest hi?
Psalms 8:6You have made him ruler over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet;Thou hast made him to rule over the works of thy hands; thou hast put everything under his feet:Thou hast made him a little less than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour:
Psalms 8:7All sheep and oxen, and all the beasts of the field;Sheep and oxen, all of them, and also the beasts of the field;and hast set him over the works of thy hands.
Psalms 8:8The birds of the air and the fish of the sea, and whatever goes through the deep waters of the seas. The fowl of the heavens, and the fishes of the sea, [whatever] passeth through the paths of the seas.Thou hast subjected all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen: moreover the beasts also of the fields.
