Psalms 61:1<To the chief music-maker. On a corded instrument. Of David.> Let my cry come to you, O God; let your ears be open to my prayer.Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of David. To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.
Psalms 61:2From the end of the earth will I send up my cry to you, when my heart is overcome: take me to the rock which is over-high for me.From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Shall not my soul be subject to God? for from him is my salvation. From the end of the earth will I cry to thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalms 61:3For you have been my secret place, and my high tower from those who made war on me.For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. For he is my God and my saviour: he is my protector, I shall be moved no more. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Psalms 61:4I will make your tent my resting-place for ever: I will keep myself under the cover of your wings. (Selah.)I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. How long do you rush in upon a man? you all kill, as if you were thrusting down a leaning wall, and a tottering fence.I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
Psalms 61:5For you, O God, have made answer to my prayers; you have given me the heritage of those who give honour to your name. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. But they have thought to cast away my price; I ran in thirst: they blessed with their mouth, but cursed with their heart. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
Psalms 61:6You will give the king long life; and make his years go on through the generations.Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations. But be thou, O my soul, subject to God: for from him is my patience.Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
Psalms 61:7May the seat of his authority be before God for ever; may mercy and righteousness keep him safe.He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.For he is my God and my saviour: he is my helper, I shall not be moved. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
Psalms 61:8So will I make songs in praise of your name for ever, giving to God that which is right day by day.So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.So will I sing praise to thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
