Psalms 50:2From Zion, most beautiful of places, God has sent out his light.Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bethsabee.Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.
Psalms 50:3Our God will come, and will not keep quiet; with fire burning before him, and storm-winds round him.Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity. Our God comes, and does not keep silence. A fire devours before him. It is very tempestuous around him.
Psalms 50:4His voice will go out to the heavens and to the earth, for the judging of his people:He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.He calls to the heavens above, To the earth, that he may judge his people:
Psalms 50:5Let my saints come together to me; those who have made an agreement with me by offerings.Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me."Gather my saints together to me, Those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
Psalms 50:6And let the heavens make clear his righteousness; for God himself is the judge. (Selah.)And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah. To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: that thou mayst be justified in thy words and mayst overcome when thou art judged. The heavens shall declare his righteousness, For God himself is judge. Selah.
Psalms 50:7Give ear, O my people, to my words; O Israel, I will be a witness against you; I am God, even your God.Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me."Hear, my people, and I will speak; Israel, and I will testify against you. I am God, your God.
Psalms 50:8I will not take up a cause against you because of your offerings, or because of your burned offerings, which are ever before me.I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.I don't rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.
Psalms 50:9I will take no ox out of your house, or he-goats from your flocks;I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.I have no need for a bull from your stall, Nor male goats from your pens.
Psalms 50:10For every beast of the woodland is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice. For every animal of the forest is mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
Psalms 50:11I see all the birds of the mountains, and the beasts of the field are mine.I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine.
Psalms 50:12If I had need of food, I would not give you word of it; for the earth is mine and all its wealth. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, For the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Psalms 50:13Am I to take the flesh of the ox for my food, or the blood of goats for my drink? Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
Psalms 50:14Make an offering of praise to God; keep the agreements which you have made with the Most High;Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High.
Psalms 50:15Let your voice come up to me in the day of trouble; I will be your saviour, so that you may give glory to me.And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee.Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me."
Psalms 50:16But to the sinner, God says, What are you doing, talking of my laws, or taking the words of my agreement in your mouth? But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice. But to the wicked God says, "What right do you have to declare my statutes, That you have taken my covenant on your lips,
Psalms 50:17Seeing that you have no desire for my teaching, turning your back on my words.Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: and my mouth shall declare thy praise.Seeing you hate instruction, And throw my words behind you?
Psalms 50:18When you saw a thief, you were in agreement with him, and you were joined with those who took other men's wives. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted. When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have participated with adulterers.
Psalms 50:19You have given your mouth to evil, your tongue to words of deceit.Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."You give your mouth to evil. Your tongue harnesses deceit.
Psalms 50:20You say evil of your brother; you make false statements against your mother's son.Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother's son.
Psalms 50:21These things have you done, and I said nothing; it seemed to you that I was such a one as yourself; but I will make a protest against you, and put them in order before your eyes. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar. You have done these things, and I kept silence. Psalms 50:23Whoever makes an offering of praise gives glory to me; and to him who is upright in his ways I will make clear the salvation of God.Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, And prepares his way so that I will show God's salvation to him."
