Psalms 83:1<A Song. A Psalm. Psalms 83:2For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads.For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads.For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.
Psalms 83:3They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place.They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones.They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:
Psalms 83:4They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory.They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance."Come," they say, "and let us destroy them as a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more."They say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.
Psalms 83:5For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you:For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you.For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.
Psalms 83:6The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites;The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;

Psalms 83:10Who came to destruction at En-dor; their bodies became dust and waste.Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.Who perished at Endor, Who became as dung for the earth.Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.

Psalms 83:12Who have said, Let us take for our heritage the resting-place of God.Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.Who said, "Let us take possession Of God's pasturelands."For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.
Psalms 83:13O my God, make them like the rolling dust; like dry stems before the wind.O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.My God, make them like tumbleweed; Like chaff before the wind.O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.
Psalms 83:14As fire burning a wood, and as a flame causing fire on the mountains,As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;As the fire that burns the forest, As the flame that sets the mountains on fire,As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,
Psalms 83:15So go after them with your strong wind, and let them be full of fear because of your storm.So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. So pursue them with your tempest, Terrify them with your storm.So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.
Psalms 83:16Let their faces be full of shame; so that they may give honour to your name, O Lord.Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.Fill their faces with confusion, That they may seek your name, Yahweh.Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
Psalms 83:17Let them be overcome and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and come to destruction;Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever. Psalms 83:18So that men may see that you only, whose name is Yahweh, are Most High over all the earth.That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
