Psalms 14:1<To the chief music-maker. Of David.> The foolish man has said in his heart, God will not do anything. They are unclean, they have done evil works; there is not one who does good.The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have done abominable works. There is none who does good.The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.A psalm of David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?
Psalms 14:2The Lord was looking down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who had wisdom, searching after God.Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, To see if there were any who did understand, Who did seek after God.The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:
Psalms 14:3They have all gone out of the way together; they are unclean, there is not one who does good, no, not one.They have all gone aside; they have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one.They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours.
Psalms 14:4Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord.Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And don't call on Yahweh?Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;
Psalms 14:5Then were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the upright.There were they in great fear, For God is in the generation of the righteous.There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.he that hath not put out his money to usury, nor taken bribes against the innocent: He that doth these things shall not be moved for ever.
Psalms 14:6You have put to shame the thoughts of the poor, but the Lord is his support.You put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Yahweh is his refuge.Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
Psalms 14:7May the salvation of Israel come out of Zion! when the fate of his people is changed by the Lord, Jacob will have joy and Israel will be glad.Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, Then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. Psalm 15 A Psalm by David.Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
