1st-Corinthians 12:1But about the things of the spirit, my brothers, it is not right for you to be without teaching.Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I don't want you to be ignorant.It is important, brethren, that you should have clear knowledge on the subject of spiritual gifts.Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1st-Corinthians 12:2You are conscious that when you were Gentiles, in whatever way you were guided, you went after images without voice or power.You know that when you were Gentiles, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.You know that when you were heathens you went astray after dumb idols, wherever you happened to be led.Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1st-Corinthians 12:3So it is my desire for you to be clear about this; that no one is able to say by the Spirit of God that Jesus is cursed; and no one is able to say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.For this reason I would have you understand that no one speaking under the influence of The Spirit of God ever says, "Jesus is accursed," and that no one is able to say, "Jesus is Lord," except under the influence of the Holy Spirit.Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.
1st-Corinthians 12:4Now there are different qualities given to men, but the same Spirit.Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.Now there are various kinds of gifts, but there is one and the same Spirit;Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1st-Corinthians 12:5And there are different sorts of servants, but the same Lord.There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.various forms of official service, and yet one and the same Lord;And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1st-Corinthians 12:6And there are different operations, but the same God, who is working all things in all.There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.diversities in work, and yet one and the same God He who in each person brings about the whole result.And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all in all.
1st-Corinthians 12:7But to every man some form of the Spirit's working is given for the common good.But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.But to each of us a manifestation of the Spirit has been granted for the common good.But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for profit.
1st-Corinthians 12:8For to one are given words of wisdom through the Spirit; and to another words of knowledge through the same Spirit:For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;To one the utterance of wisdom has been granted through the Spirit; to another the utterance of knowledge in accordance with the will of the same Spirit;For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another, the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1st-Corinthians 12:9To another faith in the same Spirit; and to another the power of taking away disease, by the one Spirit;to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit;to a third man, by means of the same Spirit, special faith; to another various gifts of healing, by means of the one Spirit;To another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1st-Corinthians 12:10And to another the power of working wonders; and to another the prophet's word; and to another the power of testing spirits; to another different sorts of tongues; and to another the power of making clear the sense of the tongues:and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.to another the exercise of miraculous powers; to another the gift of prophecy; to another the power of discriminating between prophetic utterances; to another varieties of the gift of `tongues;' to another the interpretation of tongues.To another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, discerning of spirits; to another, divers kinds of languages; to another, the interpretation of languages:
1st-Corinthians 12:11But all these are the operations of the one and the same Spirit, giving to every man separately as his pleasure is.But the one and the same Spirit works all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.But these results are all brought about by one and the same Spirit, who bestows His gifts upon each of us in accordance with His own will.But all these worketh that one and the same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1st-Corinthians 12:12For as the body is one, and has a number of parts, and all the parts make one body, so is Christ.For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.For just as the human body is one and yet has many parts, and all its parts, many as they are, constitute but one body, so it is with the Church of Christ.For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1st-Corinthians 12:13For through the baptism of the one Spirit we were all formed into one body, Jews or Greeks, servants or free men, and were all made full of the same Spirit.For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink into one Spirit.For, in fact, in one Spirit all of us whether we are Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free men were baptized to form but one body; and we were all nourished by that one Spirit.For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1st-Corinthians 12:14For the body is not one part, but a number of parts.For the body is not one member, but many.For the human body does not consist of one part, but of many.For the body is not one member, but many.
1st-Corinthians 12:15If the foot says, Because I am not the hand, I am not a part of the body; it is no less a part of the body.If the foot would say, "Because I'm not the hand, I'm not part of the body," it is not therefore not part of the body.Were the foot to say, "Because I am not a hand I am not a part of the body," that would not make it any the less a part of the body.If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1st-Corinthians 12:16And if the ear says, Because I am not the eye, I am not a part of the body; it is a part of the body all the same.If the ear would say, "Because I'm not the eye, I'm not part of the body," it's not therefore not part of the body.Or were the ear to say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," that would not make it any the less a part of the body.And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1st-Corinthians 12:17If all the body was an eye, where would be the hearing? if all was hearing, where would be the smelling?If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the nostrils be?If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
1st-Corinthians 12:18But now God has put every one of the parts in the body as it was pleasing to him.But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.But, as a matter of fact, God has arranged the parts in the body every one of them as He has seen fit.But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1st-Corinthians 12:19And if they were all one part, where would the body be?If they were all one member, where would the body be?If they were all one part, where would the body be?And if they were all one member, where were the body?
1st-Corinthians 12:20But now they are all different parts, but one body.But now they are many members, but one body.But, as a matter of fact, there are many parts and but one body.But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1st-Corinthians 12:21And the eye may not say to the hand, I have no need of you: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.The eye can't tell the hand, "I have no need for you," or again the head to the feet, "I have no need for you."It is also impossible for the eye to say to the hand, "I do not need you;" or again for the head to say to the feet, "I do not need you."And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1st-Corinthians 12:22No, those parts which seem to be feeble are the more necessary;No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.No, it is quite otherwise. Even those parts of the body which are apparently somewhat feeble are yet indispensable;Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1st-Corinthians 12:23And to those parts of the body which seem to have less honour we give all the more honour; and to those parts of the body which are a cause of shame to us we give the greater respect;Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant propriety;and those which we deem less honorable we clothe with more abundant honor; and so our ungraceful parts come to have a more abundant grace, while our graceful parts have everything they need.And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
1st-Corinthians 12:24But those parts of the body which are beautiful have no need of such care: and so the body has been joined together by God in such a way as to give more honour to those parts which had need of it;whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part,But it was God who built up the body, and bestowed more abundant honor on the part that felt the need,For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked:
1st-Corinthians 12:25So that there might be no division in the body; but all the parts might have the same care for one another.that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.that there might be no disunion in the body, but that all the members might entertain the same anxious care for one another's welfare.That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1st-Corinthians 12:26And if there is pain in one part of the body, all the parts will be feeling it; or if one part is honoured, all the parts will be glad.When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.And if one part is suffering, every other part suffers with it; or if one part is receiving special honor, every other part shares in the joy.And thus if one member suffers all the members suffer with it; or, if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1st-Corinthians 12:27Now you are the body of Christ, and every one of you the separate parts of it.Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.As for you, you are the body of Christ, and individually you are members of it.Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
1st-Corinthians 12:28And God has put some in the church, first, Apostles; second, prophets; third, teachers; then those with wonder-working powers, then those with the power of taking away disease, helpers, wise guides, users of strange tongues.God has set some in the assembly, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.And by God's appointment there are in the Church first Apostles, secondly Prophets, thirdly teachers. Then come miraculous powers, and then ability to cure diseases or render loving service, or powers of organization, or varieties of the gift of `tongues.'And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of languages.
1st-Corinthians 12:29Are all Apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? have all the power of working wonders?Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers?Are all Apostles? Are all Prophets? Are all teachers?Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1st-Corinthians 12:30Are all able to take away disease? have all the power of tongues? are all able to give their sense?Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with various languages? Do all interpret?Have all miraculous powers? Have all ability to cure diseases? Do all speak in `tongues'? Do all interpret?Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak in languages? do all interpret?
1st-Corinthians 12:31But let your desires be turned to the more important things given by the Spirit. And now I am pointing out to you an even better way.But desire earnestly the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.But always seek to excel in the greater gifts. And now I will point out to you a way of life which transcends all others.But covet earnestly the best gifts. And yet I show to you a more excellent way.
