2nd-Chronicles 8:1Now at the end of twenty years, in which time Solomon had put up the house of the Lord and a house for himself,And it cometh to pass, at the end of twenty years, that Solomon hath built the house of Jehovah, and his own house.And at the end of twenty years after Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house:And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
2nd-Chronicles 8:2He took in hand the building up of the towns which Huram had given him, causing the children of Israel to make living-places for themselves there.As to the cities that Huram hath given to Solomon, Solomon hath built them, and there he causeth the sons of Israel to dwell.He built the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
2nd-Chronicles 8:3And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah and overcame it.And Solomon goeth to Hamath-Zobah, and layeth hold upon it;He went also into Emath Suba, and possessed it.And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.
2nd-Chronicles 8:4And he put up the buildings of Tadmor in the waste land, and of all the store-towns in Hamath;and he buildeth Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the cities of store that he hath built in Hamath.And he built Palmira in the desert, and he built other strong cities in Emath.And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
2nd-Chronicles 8:5And of Beth-horon the higher and the lower, walled towns with walls and doorways and locks;And he buildeth Beth-Horon the upper, and Beth-Horon the lower cities of defence, with walls, two-leaved doors, and barAnd he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, walled cities with Rates and bars and locks.Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
2nd-Chronicles 8:6And of Baalath, and all the store-towns which Solomon had, and the towns where he kept his war-carriages and his horse men, and everything which it was his pleasure to put up in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and in all the land under his rule.and Baalath, and all the cities of store that Solomon had, and all the cities of the chariot, and the cities of the horsemen, and all the desire of Solomon that he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.Balaath also and all the strong cities that were Solomon's, and all the cities of the chariots, and the cities of the horsemen. All that Solomon had a mind, and designed, he built in Jerusalem and in Libanus, and in all the land of his dominion.And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
2nd-Chronicles 8:7As for all the rest of the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel:All the people who are left of the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, who are not of IsraelAll the people that were left of the Hethites, and the Amorrhites, and the Pherezites, and the Hevites, and the Jebusites, that were not of the stock of Israel:As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
2nd-Chronicles 8:8Their men who were still living in the land, and whom the children of Israel had not put an end to, these Solomon put to forced work, as is done to this day;of their sons who have been left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel consumed not doth Solomon lift up a tribute unto this day.Of their children, and of the posterity, whom the children of Israel had not slain, Solomon made to be the tributaries, unto this day.But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
2nd-Chronicles 8:9But Solomon did not make use of the children of Israel as servants for his work; they were men of war, his chiefs and his captains, and captains of his war-carriages and his horsemen.And none of the sons of Israel hath Solomon made servants for his work, but they [are] men of war, and heads of his captains, and heads of his charioteers, and of his horsemen;But of the children of Israel he set none to serve in the king's works: for they were men of war, and chief captains, and rulers of his chariots and horsemen.But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
2nd-Chronicles 8:10Now these were the chief men in authority whom King Solomon had: two hundred and fifty of them, in authority over the people.and these [are] heads of the officers whom king Solomon hath, two hundred and fifty who are rulers among the people.And all the chief captains of king Solomon's army were two hundred and fifty, who taught the people.And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bore rule over the people.
2nd-Chronicles 8:11Then Solomon made Pharaoh's daughter come up from the town of David to the house which he had made for her; for he said, I will not have my wife living in the house of David, king of Israel, because those places where the ark of the Lord has come are holy.And the daughter of Pharaoh hath Solomon brought up from the city of David to the house that he built for her, for he said, `My wife doth not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for they are holy unto whom hath come the ark of Jehovah.`And he removed the daughter of Pharao from the city of David, to the house which he had built for her. For the king said: My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for it is sanctified: because the ark of the Lord came into it.And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the city of David to the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, to which the ark of the LORD hath come.
2nd-Chronicles 8:12Then Solomon made burned offerings to the Lord on the altar of the Lord which he had put up in front of the covered way,Then hath Solomon caused to ascend burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah that he built before the porch,Then Solomon offered holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of the Lord which he had built before the porch,Then Solomon offered burnt-offerings to the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
2nd-Chronicles 8:13Offering every day what had been ordered by Moses, on the Sabbaths and at the new moon and at the regular feasts three times a year, that is at the feast of unleavened bread, the feast of weeks, and the feast of tents.even by the matter of a day in its day, to cause to ascend according to the command of Moses, on sabbaths, and on new moons, and on appointed seasons, three times in a year in the feast of unleavened things, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths.That every day an offering might be made on it according to the ordinance of Moses, in the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the festival days three times a year, that is to say, in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
2nd-Chronicles 8:14And he gave the divisions of the priests their places for their work, as ordered by his father David, and to the Levites he gave their work of praise and waiting on the priests, to do what was needed day by day; and he gave the door-keepers their places in turn at every door; for so David, the man of God, had given orders.And he establisheth, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests over their service, and of the Levites over their charges, to praise and to minister over-against the priests, according to the matter of a day in its day, and the gatekeepers in their courses at gate and gate, for so [is] the command of David the man of God.And he appointed according to the order of David his father the offices of the priests in their ministries: and the Levites in their order to give praise, and minister before the priests according to the duty of every day: and the porters in their divisions by gate and gate: for so David the man of God had commanded.And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
2nd-Chronicles 8:15All the orders given by the king to the priests and Levites, in connection with any business or stores, were done with care.And they have not turned aside [from] the command of the king concerning the priests and the Levites, in reference to any matter, and to the treasures.And the priests and Levites departed not from the king's commandments, as to any thing that he had commanded, and as to the keeping of the treasures.And they departed not from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
2nd-Chronicles 8:16And all the work of Solomon was complete, from the day when he put the base of the Lord's house in position, till Solomon had come to the end of building the Lord's house.And all the work of Solomon is prepared till the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, and till its completion; perfect is the house of Jehovah.Solomon had all charges prepared, from the day that he founded the house of the Lord, until the day wherein he finished it.Now all the work of Solomon was prepared to the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
2nd-Chronicles 8:17Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Eloth by the sea in the land of Edom.Then hath Solomon gone to Ezion-Geber, and unto Elath, on the border of the sea, in the land of Edom;Then Solomon went to Asiongaber, and to Ailath, on the coast of the Red Sea, which is in the land of Edom.Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
2nd-Chronicles 8:18And Huram sent him, by his servants, ships and experienced seamen, who went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir and came back with four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they took to King Solomon.and Huram sendeth to him, by the hand of his servants, ships and servants knowing the sea, and they go with servants of Solomon to Ophir, and take thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and bring in unto king Solomon.And Hiram sent him ships by the hands of his servants, and skilful mariners, and they went with Solomon's servants to Ophir, and they took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought it to king Solomon.And Huram sent to him by the hands of his servants, ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
