2nd-Thessalonians 2:1Now as to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our meeting with him, it is our desire, my brothers,And we ask you, brethren, in regard to the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him,And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him:Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering to him.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:2That you may not be moved in mind or troubled by a spirit, or by a word, or by a letter as from us, with the suggestion that the day of the Lord is even now come;that ye be not quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled, neither through spirit, neither through word, neither through letters as through us, as that the day of Christ hath arrived;That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:3Give no belief to false words: because there will first be a falling away from the faith, and the revelation of the man of sin, the son of destruction,let not any one deceive you in any manner, because if the falling away may not come first, and the man of sin be revealed the son of the destruction,Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2nd-Thessalonians 2:4Who puts himself against all authority, lifting himself up over all which is named God or is given worship; so that he takes his seat in the Temple of God, putting himself forward as God.who is opposing and is raising himself up above all called God or worshipped, so that he in the sanctuary of God as God hath sat down, shewing himself off that he is God [the day doth not come].Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:5Have you no memory of what I said when I was with you, giving you word of these things?Do ye not remember that, being yet with you, these things I said to you?Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2nd-Thessalonians 2:6And now it is clear to you what is keeping back his revelation till the time comes for him to be seen.and now, what is keeping down ye have known, for his being revealed in his own time,And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time.And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:7For the secret of evil is even now at work: but there is one who is keeping back the evil till he is taken out of the way.for the secret of the lawlessness doth already work, only he who is keeping down now [will hinder] till he may be out of the way,For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way.For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now restraineth will restrain, until he be taken out of the way.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:8And then will come the revelation of that evil one, whom the Lord Jesus will put to death with the breath of his mouth, and give to destruction by the revelation of his coming;and then shall be revealed the Lawless One, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the manifestation of his presence,And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him,And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:9Even the one whose coming is marked by the working of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,[him,] whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders,Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders,Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:10And with every deceit of wrongdoing among those whose fate is destruction; because they were quite without that love of the true faith by which they might have salvation.and in all deceitfulness of the unrighteousness in those perishing, because the love of the truth they did not receive for their being saved,And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:11And for this cause, God will give them up to the power of deceit and they will put their faith in what is false:and because of this shall God send to them a working of delusion, for their believing the lie,That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:12So that they all may be judged, who had no faith in what is true, but took pleasure in evil.that they may be judged all who did not believe the truth, but were well pleased in the unrighteousness.But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth:That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:13But it is right for us to give praise to God at all times for you, brothers, loved by the Lord, because it was the purpose of God from the first that you might have salvation, being made holy by the Spirit and by faith in what is true:And we we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, that God did choose you from the beginning to salvation, in sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth,Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth:
2nd-Thessalonians 2:14And in this purpose he gave you a part through the good news of which we were the preachers, even that you might have part in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.to which He did call you through our good news, to the acquiring of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ;Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:15So then, brothers, be strong in purpose, and keep the teaching which has been given to you by word or by letter from us.so, then, brethren, stand ye fast, and hold the deliverances that ye were taught, whether through word, whether through our letter;Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hathloved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace,Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2nd-Thessalonians 2:16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who had love for us and has given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,and may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who did love us, and did give comfort age-during, and good hope in grace,Exhort your hearts, and confirm you in every good work and word.Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2nd-Thessalonians 2:17Give you comfort and strength in every good work and word.comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
