Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion. | To the Overseer with stringed instruments, on the octave. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, in Thine anger reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me. | Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave. | To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. |
| Psalms 6:2 | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled. | Favour me, O Jehovah, for I [am] weak, Heal me, O Jehovah, For troubled have been my bones, | O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath. | Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are agitated. |

| Psalms 6:6 | The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes. | I have been weary with my sighing, I meditate through all the night [on] my bed, With my tear my couch I waste. | For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell? | I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. |

| Psalms 6:10 | Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame. | Ashamed and troubled greatly are all mine enemies, They turn back ashamed [in] a moment! | The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer. | Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly disquieted: let them return and be suddenly ashamed. |
