| Psalms 70:1 | <To the chief music-maker. Of David. To keep in memory.> Let your salvation come quickly, O God; come quickly to my help, O Lord. | To the Overseer, by David. `To cause to remember.` O God, to deliver me, O Jehovah, for my help, haste. | A psalm for David. Of the sons of Jonadab, and the former captives. In thee, O Lord, I have hoped, let me never be put to confusion: | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David to bring to remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD. |
| Psalms 70:2 | Let those who go after my soul have shame and trouble; let those who have evil designs against me be turned back and made foolish. | Let them be ashamed and confounded Who are seeking my soul, Let them be turned backward and blush Who are desiring my evil. | deliver me in thy justice, and rescue me. Incline thy ear unto me, and save me. | Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. |
