| Psalms 1:1 | Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord. | O the happiness of that one, who Hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked. And in the way of sinners hath not stood, And in the seat of scorners hath not sat; | Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence. | |
| Psalms 1:2 | But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night. | But in the law of Jehovah [is] his delight, And in His law he doth meditate by day and by night: | But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night. | |

| Psalms 1:6 | Because the Lord sees the way of the upright, but the end of the sinner is destruction. | For Jehovah is knowing the way of the righteous, And the way of the wicked is lost! | For the Lord knoweth the way of the just: and the way of the wicked shall perish. | |
