Psalms 65:1<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. A Song.> It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. A Song. To Thee, silence praise, O God, [is] in Zion, And to Thee is a vow completed.Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. To you shall vows be performed.
Psalms 65:2To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.Hearer of prayer, to Thee all flesh cometh.sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.You who hear prayer, To you all men will come.
Psalms 65:3Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.Matters of iniquities were mightier than I, Our transgressions Thou dost cover them.Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.Sins overwhelmed me, But you atoned for our transgressions.
Psalms 65:4Happy is the man of your selection, to whom you give a resting-place in your house; we will be full of the good things out of your holy place.O the happiness of [him whom] Thou choosest, And drawest near, he inhabiteth Thy courts, We are satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple.Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.Blessed is one whom you choose, and cause to come near, That he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, Your holy temple.
Psalms 65:5You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;By fearful things in righteousness Thou answerest us, O God of our salvation, The confidence of all far off ends of earth and sea.Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, Of those who are far away on the sea;
Psalms 65:6The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:Establishing mountains by His power, He hath been girded with might,Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.Who by his power forms the mountains, Having armed yourself with strength;
Psalms 65:7Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.Restraining the noise of seas, the noise of their billows, And the multitude of the peoples.Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the turmoil of the nations.
Psalms 65:8Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.And the inhabitants of the uttermost parts From Thy signs are afraid, The outgoings of morning and evening Thou causest to sing.O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.They also who dwell in far-away places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning's dawn and the evening with songs of joy.
Psalms 65:9You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.Thou hast inspected the earth, and waterest it, Thou makest it very rich, the rivulet of God [is] full of water, Thou preparest their corn, When thus Thou dost prepare it,Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.
Psalms 65:10You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth.Its ridges have been filled, Deepened hath been its furrow, With showers Thou dost soften it, Its springing up Thou blessest.For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop.
Psalms 65:11The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,Thou hast crowned the year of Thy goodness, And Thy paths drop fatness.Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.
Psalms 65:12Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.Drop do the pastures of a wilderness, And joy of the heights Thou girdest on.thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.
Psalms 65:13The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.Clothed have lambs the flock, And valleys are covered with corn, They shout yea, they sing!I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,The pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing. Psalm 66 For the Chief Musician. A song. A Psalm.
