| Psalms 23:1 | <A Psalm. Of David.> The Lord takes care of me as his sheep; I will not be without any good thing. | A Psalm of David. Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack, | A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. | On the first day of the week, a psalm for David. The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof: the world, and all they that dwell therein. |
| Psalms 23:2 | He makes a resting-place for me in the green fields: he is my guide by the quiet waters. | In pastures of tender grass He causeth me to lie down, By quiet waters He doth lead me. | He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. | For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers. |
| Psalms 23:3 | He gives new life to my soul: he is my guide in the ways of righteousness because of his name. | My soul He refresheth, He leadeth me in paths of righteousness, For His name`s sake, | He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. | Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place? |
| Psalms 23:4 | Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort. | Also when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for Thou [art] with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. | Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shades of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. | The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour. |
| Psalms 23:5 | You make ready a table for me in front of my haters: you put oil on my head; my cup is overflowing. | Thou arrangest before me a table, Over-against my adversaries, Thou hast anointed with oil my head, My cup is full! | Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. | He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour. |
| Psalms 23:6 | Truly, blessing and mercy will be with me all the days of my life; and I will have a place in the house of the Lord all my days. | Only goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling [is] in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days! | Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. | This is the generation of them that seek him, of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob. |
