| Psalms 36:1 | <To the chief music-maker. Of the servant of the Lord. Of David.> The sin of the evil-doer says in his heart, There is no fear of the Lord before his eyes. | To the Overseer. By a servant of Jehovah, by David. The transgression of the wicked Is affirming within my heart, `Fear of God is not before his eyes, | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. | A psalm for David himself. Be not emulous of evildoers; nor envy them that work iniquity. |
| Psalms 36:2 | For he takes comfort in the thought that his sin will not be uncovered and hated. | For he made [it] smooth to himself in his eyes, To find his iniquity to be hated. | For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity is found to be hateful. | For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall. |
| Psalms 36:3 | In the words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has given up being wise and doing good. | The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit, He ceased to act prudently to do good. | The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath ceased to be wise, and to do good. | Trust in the Lord, and do good, and dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed with its riches. |

| Psalms 36:5 | Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and your strong purpose is as high as the clouds. | O Jehovah, in the heavens [is] Thy kindness, Thy faithfulness [is] unto the clouds. | Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth to the clouds. | Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it. |

Man and beast Thou savest, O Jehovah. | Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. | And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. |
| Psalms 36:7 | How good is your loving mercy, O God! the children of men take cover under the shade of your wings. | How precious [is] Thy kindness, O God, And the sons of men In the shadow of Thy wings do trust. | How excellent is thy loving-kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. | Be subject to the Lord and pray to him Envy not the man who prospereth in his way; the man who doth unjust things. |
| Psalms 36:8 | The delights of your house will be showered on them; you will give them drink from the river of your pleasures. | They are filled from the fatness of Thy house, And the stream of Thy delights Thou dost cause them to drink. | They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. | Cease from anger, and leave rage; have no emulation to do evil. |
