Psalms 7:1<Shiggaion of David; a song which he made to the Lord, about the words of Cush the Benjamite.> O Lord my God, I put my faith in you; take me out of the hands of him who is cruel to me, and make me free;`The Erring One,` by David, that he sung to Jehovah concerning the words of Cush a Benjamite. O Jehovah, my God, in Thee I have trusted, Save me from all my pursuers, and deliver me.Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the Benjaminite. O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:The psalm of David which he sung to the Lord for the words of Chusi the son of Jemini. [2 Kings 16.]
Psalms 7:2So that he may not come rushing on my soul like a lion, wounding it, while there is no one to be my saviour.Lest he tear as a lion my soul, Rending, and there is no deliverer.Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.O Lord my God, in thee have I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.
Psalms 7:3O Lord my God, if I have done this; if my hands have done any wrong;O Jehovah, my God, if I have done this, If there is iniquity in my hands,O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there is iniquity in my hands;Lest at any time he seize upon my soul like a lion, while there is no one to redeem me, nor to save.
Psalms 7:4If I have given back evil to him who did evil to me, or have taken anything from him who was against me without cause; If I have done my well-wisher evil, And draw mine adversary without cause,If I have rewarded evil to him that was at peace with me; (yes, I have delivered him that without cause is my enemy:)O Lord my God, if I have done this thing, if there be iniquity in my hands:
Psalms 7:5Let my hater go after my soul and take it; let my life be crushed to the earth, and my honour into the dust. (Selah.)An enemy pursueth my soul, and overtaketh, And treadeth down to the earth my life, And my honour placeth in the dust. Selah.Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yes, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay my honor in the dust. Selah. If I have rendered to them that repaid me evils, let me deservedly fall empty before my enemies.
Psalms 7:6Come up, Lord, in your wrath; be lifted up against my haters; be awake, my God, give orders for the judging.Rise, O Jehovah, in Thine anger, Be lifted up at the wrath of mine adversaries, And awake Thou for me: Judgment Thou hast commanded:Arise, O LORD, in thy anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.Let the enemy pursue my soul, and take it, and tread down my life on the earth, and bring down my glory to the dust.
Psalms 7:7The meeting of the nations will be round you; take your seat, then, over them, on high. And a company of peoples compass Thee, And over it on high turn Thou back,So shall the congregation of the people encompass thee: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.Rise up, O Lord, in thy anger: and be thou exalted in the borders of my enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, in the precept which thou hast commanded:
Psalms 7:8The Lord will be judge of the peoples; give a decision for me, O Lord, because of my righteousness, and let my virtue have its reward.Jehovah doth judge the peoples; Judge me, O Jehovah, According to my righteousness, And according to mine integrity on me,The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me.and a congregation of people shall surround thee. And for their sakes return thou on high.
Psalms 7:9O let the evil of the evil-doer come to an end, but give strength to the upright: for men's minds and hearts are tested by the God of righteousness.Let, I pray Thee be ended the evil of the wicked, And establish Thou the righteous, And a trier of hearts and reins is the righteous God.Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.
Psalms 7:10God, who is the saviour of the upright in heart, is my breastplate. My shield [is] on God, Saviour of the upright in heart! My defense is from God, who saveth the upright in heart. The wickedness of sinners shall be brought to nought: and thou shalt direct the just: the searcher of hearts and reins is God.
Psalms 7:11God is the judge of the upright, and is angry with the evil-doers every day.God [is] a righteous judge, And He is not angry at all times.God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.Just is my help from the Lord: who saveth the upright of heart.
Psalms 7:12If a man is not turned from his evil, he will make his sword sharp; his bow is bent and ready. If [one] turn not, His sword he sharpeneth, His bow he hath trodden He prepareth it,If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.God is a just judge, strong and patient: is he angry every day?
Psalms 7:13He has made ready for him the instruments of death; he makes his arrows flames of fire.Yea, for him He hath prepared Instruments of death, His arrows for burning pursuers He maketh. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.Except you will be converted, he will brandish his sword: he hath bent his bow and made it ready.
Psalms 7:14That man is a worker of evil; the seed of wrongdoing has given birth to deceit.Lo, he travaileth [with] iniquity, And he hath conceived perverseness, And hath brought forth falsehood.Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. And in it he hath prepared the instruments of death, he hath made ready his arrows for them that burn.
Psalms 7:15He has made a hole deep in the earth, and is falling into the hole which he has madeA pit he hath prepared, and he diggeth it, And he falleth into a ditch he maketh. He made a pit, and digged it, and hath fallen into the ditch which he made.Behold he hath been in labour with injustice; he hath conceived sorrow, and brought forth iniquity.
Psalms 7:16His wrongdoing will come back to him, and his violent behaviour will come down on his head.Return doth his perverseness on his head, And on his crown his violence cometh down. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.He hath opened a pit and dug it; and he is fallen into the hole he made.
Psalms 7:17I will give praise to the Lord for his righteousness; I will make a song to the name of the Lord Most High.I thank Jehovah, According to His righteousness, And praise the name of Jehovah Most High!I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high. His sorrow shall be turned on his own head: and his iniquity shall comedown upon his crown.
