Psalms 94:1O God, in whose hands is punishment, O God of punishment, let your shining face be seen.God of vengeance Jehovah! God of vengeance, shine forth.O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, show thyself.Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour.
Psalms 94:2Be lifted up, O judge of the earth; let their reward come to the men of pride.Be lifted up, O Judge of the earth, Send back a recompence on the proud.Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.
Psalms 94:3How long will sinners, O Lord, how long will sinners have joy over us?Till when [do] the wicked, O Jehovah? Till when do the wicked exult?LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Psalms 94:4Words of pride come from their lips; all the workers of evil say great things of themselves. They utter they speak an old saw, All working iniquity do boast themselves. How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? For in his hand are all the ends of the earth: and the heights of the mountains are his.
Psalms 94:5Your people are crushed by them, O Lord, your heritage is troubled,Thy people, O Jehovah, they bruise, And Thine inheritance they afflict. They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage. For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
Psalms 94:6They put to death the widow and the guest, they take the lives of children who have no father;Widow and sojourner they slay, And fatherless ones they murder. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us.
Psalms 94:7And they say, Jah will not see it, the God of Jacob will not give thought to it.And they say, `Jehovah doth not see, And the God of Jacob doth not consider.`Yet they say, The LORD will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard it.For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Psalms 94:8Give your mind to my words, you who are without wisdom among the people; you foolish men, when will you be wise?Consider, ye brutish among the people, And ye foolish, when do ye act wisely?Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts:
Psalms 94:9Has he by whom your ears were planted no hearing? or is he blind by whom your eyes were formed? He who planteth the ear doth He not hear? He who formeth the eye doth He not see?He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works.
Psalms 94:10He who is the judge of the nations, will he not give men the reward of their acts, even he who gives knowledge to man?He who is instructing nations, Doth He not reprove? He who is teaching man knowledge [is] Jehovah. He that chastiseth the heathen, shall he not correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall he not know?Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart.
Psalms 94:11The Lord has knowledge of the thoughts of man, for they are only a breath. He knoweth the thoughts of man, that they [are] vanity. The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.
Psalms 94:12Happy is the man who is guided by you, O Jah, and to whom you give teaching out of your law;O the happiness of the man Whom Thou instructest, O Jah, And out of Thy law teachest him,Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
Psalms 94:13So that you may give him rest from the days of evil, till a hole is made ready for the destruction of the sinners. To give rest to him from days of evil, While a pit is digged for the wicked. That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
Psalms 94:14The Lord will not give up his people, or take away his support from his heritage; For Jehovah leaveth not His people, And His inheritance forsaketh not.For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
Psalms 94:15But decisions will again be made in righteousness; and they will be kept by all whose hearts are true. For to righteousness judgment turneth back, And after it all the upright of heart,But judgment shall return to righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
Psalms 94:16Who will give me help against the sinners? and who will be my support against the workers of evil?Who riseth up for me with evil doers? Who stationeth himself for me with workers of iniquity?Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Psalms 94:17If the Lord had not been my helper, my soul would quickly have gone down into death.Unless Jehovah [were] a help to me, My soul had almost inhabited silence.Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
Psalms 94:18If I say, My foot is slipping; your mercy, O Lord, is my support. If I have said, `My foot hath slipped,` Thy kindness, O Jehovah, supporteth me.When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
Psalms 94:19Among all my troubled thoughts, your comforts are the delight of my soul.In the abundance of my thoughts within me, Thy comforts delight my soul.In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul.
Psalms 94:20What part with you has the seat of sin, which makes evil into a law?Is a throne of mischief joined [with] Thee? A framer of perverseness by statute?Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Psalms 94:21They are banded together against the soul of the upright, to give decisions against those who have done no wrong. They decree against the soul of the righteous, And innocent blood declare wicked. They assemble themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
Psalms 94:22But the Lord is my safe resting-place; my God is the Rock where I am safe. And Jehovah is for a high place to me, And my God [is] for a rock my refuge,But the LORD is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
Psalms 94:23And he has made their evil designs come back on themselves, cutting them off in their sin; the Lord our God will put an end to them. And turneth back on them their iniquity, And in their wickedness cutteth them off; Jehovah our God doth cut them off!And he will bring upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness; yes, the LORD our God will cut them off.
