| Psalms 2:1 | Why are the nations so violently moved, and why are the thoughts of the people so foolish? | Why have nations tumultuously assembled? And do peoples meditate vanity? | Why do the nations rage, And the peoples plot a vain thing? | Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things? |
| Psalms 2:2 | The kings of the earth have taken their place, and the rulers are fixed in their purpose, against the Lord, and against the king of his selection, saying, | Station themselves do kings of the earth, And princes have been united together, Against Jehovah, and against His Messiah: | The kings of the earth take a stand, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Yahweh, and against his anointed, saying, | The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord and against his Christ. |
