| Psalms 36:1 | <To the chief music-maker. Of the servant of the Lord. Of David.> The sin of the evil-doer says in his heart, There is no fear of the Lord before his eyes. | To the Overseer. By a servant of Jehovah, by David. The transgression of the wicked Is affirming within my heart, `Fear of God is not before his eyes, | An oracle is within my heart about the disobedience of the wicked: "There is no fear of God before his eyes." | A psalm for David himself. Be not emulous of evildoers; nor envy them that work iniquity. |
| Psalms 36:2 | For he takes comfort in the thought that his sin will not be uncovered and hated. | For he made [it] smooth to himself in his eyes, To find his iniquity to be hated. | For he flatters himself in his own eyes, Too much to detect and hate his sin. | For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall. |
| Psalms 36:3 | In the words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has given up being wise and doing good. | The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit, He ceased to act prudently to do good. | The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. | Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it. |
| Psalms 36:6 | Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judging is like the great deep; O Lord, you give life to man and beast. | Thy righteousness [is] as mountains of God, Thy judgments [are] a great deep. Man and beast Thou savest, O Jehovah. | Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. | And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. |

The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings. | Be subject to the Lord and pray to him Envy not the man who prospereth in his way; the man who doth unjust things. |

You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures. | Cease from anger, and leave rage; have no emulation to do evil. |
