Psalms 78:1{An instruction. Of Asaph.} Give ear, O my people, to my law; incline your ears to the words of my mouth.Give ear, O my people, to my law: Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. A psalm for Asaph. O God, the heathens are come into thy inheritance, they have defiled thy holy temple: they have made Jerusalem as a place to keep fruit.Maschil of Asaph. Psalms 78:3Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us:Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us. They have poured out their blood as water, round about Jerusalem and there was none to bury them.Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
Psalms 78:4We will not hide [them] from their sons, shewing forth to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, and his strength, and his marvellous works which he hath done.We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, And his strength, and his wondrous works that he hath done. We are become a reproach to our neighbours: a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
