1st-Corinthians 5:1It is universally reported [that there is] fornication among you, and such fornication as [is] not even among the nations, so that one should have his father's wife.It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one [of you] hath his father's wife.
1st-Corinthians 5:2And *ye* are puffed up, and ye have not rather mourned, in order that he that has done this deed might be taken away out of the midst of you.And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you.
1st-Corinthians 5:3For *I*, [as] absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged as present,For I verily, being absent in body but present in spirit, have already as though I were present judged him that hath so wrought this thing,
1st-Corinthians 5:4[to deliver,] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (ye and my spirit being gathered together, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ), him that has so wrought this:in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
1st-Corinthians 5:5to deliver him, [I say,] [being] such, to Satan for destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1st-Corinthians 5:6Your boasting [is] not good. Do ye not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1st-Corinthians 5:7Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, according as ye are unleavened. For also our passover, Christ, has been sacrificed;Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, [even] Christ:
1st-Corinthians 5:8so that let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
1st-Corinthians 5:9I have written to you in the epistle not to mix with fornicators;I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;
1st-Corinthians 5:10not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the avaricious and rapacious, or idolaters, since [then] ye should go out of the world.not at all [meaning] with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:
1st-Corinthians 5:11But now I have written to you, if any one called brother be fornicator, or avaricious, or idolater, or abusive, or a drunkard, or rapacious, not to mix with [him]; with such a one not even to eat.but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.
1st-Corinthians 5:12For what have *I* [to do] with judging those outside also? *ye*, do not ye judge them that are within?For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within?
1st-Corinthians 5:13But those without God judges. Remove the wicked person from amongst yourselves.But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.
