| Psalms 38:1 | {A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.} Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. | <A Psalm. Of David. To keep in memory.> O Lord, be not bitter with me in your wrath; let not your hand be on me in the heat of your passion. | Unto the end, for Idithun himself, a canticle of David. | A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. | Psalms 38:2 | For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand cometh down upon me. | For your arrows have gone into my flesh, and I am crushed under the weight of your hand. | I said: I will take heed to my ways : that I sin not with my tongue. I have set guard to my mouth, when the sinner stood against me. | For thy arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand falleth heavy upon me. |

Be not silent : for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner as all my fathers were. | But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. |
