| Psalms 79:1 | {A Psalm of Asaph.} O God, the nations are come into thine inheritance: thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps. | <A Psalm. Of Asaph.> O God, the nations have come into your heritage; they have made your holy Temple unclean; they have made Jerusalem a mass of broken walls. | God, the nations have come into your inheritance. | Psalms 79:6 | Pour out thy fury upon the nations that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name: | Let your wrath be on the nations who have no knowledge of you, and on the kingdoms who have not made prayer to your name. | Pour out your wrath on the nations that don't know you; On the kingdoms that don't call on your names; | How long wilt thou feed us with the bread of tears: and give us for our drink tears in measure? |

| Psalms 79:11 | Let the groaning of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thine arm, preserve those that are appointed to die; | Let the cry of the prisoner come before you; with your strong arm make free the children of death; | Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to death; | The shadow of it covered the hills: and the branches thereof the cedars of God. |
