Psalms 94:1O ùGod of vengeances, Jehovah, ùGod of vengeances, shine forth;O God, in whose hands is punishment, O God of punishment, let your shining face be seen.Yahweh, you God to whom vengeance belongs, You God to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth.Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour.
Psalms 94:2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth, render the reward to the proud.Be lifted up, O judge of the earth; let their reward come to the men of pride.Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.
Psalms 94:3How long shall the wicked, O Jehovah, how long shall the wicked triumph? How long will sinners, O Lord, how long will sinners have joy over us?Yahweh, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph? For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Psalms 94:4[How long] shall they utter [and] speak insolence all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?Words of pride come from their lips; all the workers of evil say great things of themselves. They pour out arrogant words. All the evil-doers boast. For in his hand are all the ends of the earth: and the heights of the mountains are his.
Psalms 94:5They crush thy people, O Jehovah, and afflict thine inheritance;Your people are crushed by them, O Lord, your heritage is troubled,They break your people in pieces, Yahweh, And afflict your heritage. For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
Psalms 94:6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,They put to death the widow and the guest, they take the lives of children who have no father; They kill the widow and the alien, And murder the fatherless.Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us.
Psalms 94:7And say, Jah will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [it].And they say, Jah will not see it, the God of Jacob will not give thought to it.They say, "Yah will not see, Neither will Jacob's God consider."For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Psalms 94:8Understand, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye be wise?Give your mind to my words, you who are without wisdom among the people; you foolish men, when will you be wise?Consider, you senseless among the people; You fools, when will you be wise?To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts:
Psalms 94:9He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?Has he by whom your ears were planted no hearing? or is he blind by whom your eyes were formed? He who implanted the ear, won't he hear? He who formed the eye, won't he see?As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works.
Psalms 94:10He that instructeth the nations, shall not he correct he that teacheth man knowledge? He who is the judge of the nations, will he not give men the reward of their acts, even he who gives knowledge to man?He who disciplines the nations, won't he punish? He who teaches man knows.Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart.
Psalms 94:11Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. The Lord has knowledge of the thoughts of man, for they are only a breath.Yahweh knows the thoughts of man, That they are futile. And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.
Psalms 94:12Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jah, and whom thou teachest out of thy law;Happy is the man who is guided by you, O Jah, and to whom you give teaching out of your law;Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, And teach out of your law;
Psalms 94:13That thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked. So that you may give him rest from the days of evil, till a hole is made ready for the destruction of the sinners. That you may give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked.
Psalms 94:14For Jehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance; The Lord will not give up his people, or take away his support from his heritage; For Yahweh won't reject his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.
Psalms 94:15For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.But decisions will again be made in righteousness; and they will be kept by all whose hearts are true. For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.
Psalms 94:16Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?Who will give me help against the sinners? and who will be my support against the workers of evil?Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evil-doers?
Psalms 94:17If Jehovah had not been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. If the Lord had not been my helper, my soul would quickly have gone down into death.Unless Yahweh had been my help, My soul would have soon lived in silence.
Psalms 94:18When I said, My foot slippeth, thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, held me up.If I say, My foot is slipping; your mercy, O Lord, is my support. When I said, "My foot is slipping!" Your lovingkindness, Yahweh, held me up.
Psalms 94:19In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me thy comforts have delighted my soul.Among all my troubled thoughts, your comforts are the delight of my soul.In the multitude of my thoughts within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
Psalms 94:20Shall the throne of wickedness be united to thee, which frameth mischief into a law? What part with you has the seat of sin, which makes evil into a law?Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, Which brings about mischief by statute?
Psalms 94:21They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood. They are banded together against the soul of the upright, to give decisions against those who have done no wrong. They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, And condemn the innocent blood.
Psalms 94:22But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge. But the Lord is my safe resting-place; my God is the Rock where I am safe. But Yahweh has been my high tower, My God, the rock of my refuge.
Psalms 94:23And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.And he has made their evil designs come back on themselves, cutting them off in their sin; the Lord our God will put an end to them.He has brought on them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness. Yahweh, our God, will cut them off. Psalm 95
