| Psalms 1:1 | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners; | Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord. | O the happiness of that one, who Hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked. And in the way of sinners hath not stood, And in the seat of scorners hath not sat; | Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence. |
| Psalms 1:2 | But his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. | But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night. | But in the law of Jehovah [is] his delight, And in His law he doth meditate by day and by night: | But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night. |

And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whosoever he shall do shall prosper. |

| Psalms 1:5 | Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. | For this cause there will be no mercy for sinners when they are judged, and the evil-doers will have no place among the upright, | Therefore the wicked rise not in judgment, Nor sinners in the company of the righteous, | Therefore the wicked shall not rise again in judgment: nor sinners in the council of the just. |
