| Psalms 76:1 | {To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph: a Song.} In Judah is God known, his name is great in Israel; | Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of Asaph. | <To the chief music-maker; put to Neginoth. A Psalm. Of Asaph. A Song.> | To the Overseer with stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. In Judah [is] God known, in Israel His name [is] great. |
| Psalms 76:2 | And in Salem is his tent, and his dwelling-place in Zion. | I cried to the Lord with my voice; to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me. | In Judah is the knowledge of God; his name is great in Israel, | And His tabernacle is in Salem, And His habitation in Zion. |
| Psalms 76:3 | There broke he the flashings of the bow, shield and sword and battle. Selah. | In the day of my trouble I sought God, with my hands lifted up to him in the night, and I was not deceived. My soul refused to be comforted: | In Salem is his tent, his resting-place in Zion. | There he hath shivered arrows of a bow, Shield, and sword, and battle. Selah. |

| Psalms 76:6 | At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep. | I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years. | Gone is the wealth of the strong, their last sleep has overcome them; the men of war have become feeble. | From Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse have been fast asleep. |
| Psalms 76:7 | Thou, thou art to be feared, and who can stand before thee when once thou art angry? | And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit. | At the voice of your wrath, O God of Jacob, deep sleep has overcome carriage and horse. | Thou, fearful [art] Thou, And who doth stand before Thee, Since Thou hast been angry! |

Selah. | Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation? | From heaven you gave your decision; the earth, in its fear, gave no sound, | In the rising of God to judgment, To save all the humble of earth.
