Psalms 89:1{An instruction. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.} I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.I will sing of the lovingkindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation.
Psalms 89:2For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens.I indeed declare, "Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them."Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God.
Psalms 89:3I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to David my servant,"I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant,Turn not man away to be brought low: and thou hast said: Be converted, O ye sons of men.
Psalms 89:4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.'I will establish your seed forever, And build up your throne to all generations.'" Selah.For a thousand years in thy sight are as yesterday, which is past. And as a watch in the night,
Psalms 89:5And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD; thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.The heavens will praise your wonders, Yahweh; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.things that are counted nothing, shall their years be.
Psalms 89:6For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? [who] among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?For who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh,In the morning man shall grow up like grass; in the morning he shall flourish and pass away: in the evening he shall fall, grow dry, and wither.
Psalms 89:7ùGod is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence by all them that are about him.A very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, To be feared above all those who are around him?For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation.
Psalms 89:8Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like to thee? or to thy faithfulness around thee?Yahweh, God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like you? Yah, your faithfulness is around you.Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance.
Psalms 89:9*Thou* rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, *thou* stillest them.Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. Our years shall be considered spider:
Psalms 89:10Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thy enemies with thy strong arm.You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.the days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. For mildness is come upon us: and we shall be corrected.
Psalms 89:11Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, *thou* hast founded them.The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world, and the fullness of it, thou hast founded them.The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours; The world and its fullness. You have founded them.Who knoweth the power of thy anger, and for thy fear
Psalms 89:12The north and the south, *thou* hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.The north and the south, you have created them. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom.
Psalms 89:13Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated in favour of thy servants.
Psalms 89:14Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Lovingkindness and truth go before your face.We are filled in the morning with thy mercy: and we have rejoiced, and are delighted all our days.
Psalms 89:15Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.Blessed are the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, Yahweh.We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils.
Psalms 89:16In thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.In your name do they rejoice all day. In your righteousness, they are exalted.Look upon thy servants and upon their works: and direct their children.
Psalms 89:17For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us: and direct thou the works of our hands over us; yea, the work of our hands do thou direct.
Psalms 89:18For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.For the LORD is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.For our shield belongs to Yahweh; Our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Psalms 89:19Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.Then thou didst speak in vision to thy holy one, and say, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.Then you spoke in vision to your saints, And said, "I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.
Psalms 89:20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,
Psalms 89:21With whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.With whom my hand shall be established: my arm also shall strengthen him.With whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.
Psalms 89:22No enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.
Psalms 89:23But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.And I will beat down his foes before his face, and afflict them that hate him.I will beat down his adversaries before him, And strike those who hate him.
Psalms 89:24And my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.But my faithfulness and my lovingkindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.
Psalms 89:25And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.I will set his hand also on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.
Psalms 89:26*He* shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my ùGod, and the rock of my salvation;He shall cry to me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.He will call to me, 'You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation!'
Psalms 89:27And as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.Also I will make him my first-born, higher than the kings of the earth.I will also appoint him my firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.
Psalms 89:28My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.I will keep my lovingkindness for him forevermore. My covenant will stand firm with him.
Psalms 89:29And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.I will also make his seed endure forever, And his throne as the days of heaven.
Psalms 89:30If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;If his children forsake my law, And don't walk in my ordinances;
Psalms 89:31If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;If they break my statutes, And don't keep my commandments;
Psalms 89:32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.Then I will punish their sin with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.
Psalms 89:33Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.But I will not completely take my lovingkindness from him, Nor allow my faithfulness to fail.
Psalms 89:34My covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that hath gone out of my lips.I will not break my covenant, Nor alter what my lips have uttered.
Psalms 89:35Once have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie to David.Once have I sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.
Psalms 89:36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.His seed will endure forever, His throne like the sun before me.
Psalms 89:37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. Selah.It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.It will be established forever like the moon, The faithful witness in the sky." Selah.
Psalms 89:38But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thy anointed.But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.
Psalms 89:39Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.
Psalms 89:40Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.You have broken down all his hedges. You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
Psalms 89:41All that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.All that pass by the way plunder him: he is a reproach to his neighbors.All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors.
Psalms 89:42Thou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries. You have made all of his enemies rejoice.
Psalms 89:43Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, And haven't supported him in battle.
Psalms 89:44Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.You have ended his splendor, And thrown his throne down to the ground.
Psalms 89:45The days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame. Selah.
Psalms 89:46How long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?How long, LORD, wilt thou hide thyself? for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?How long, Yahweh? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?
Psalms 89:47Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?Remember how short my time is: why hast thou made all men in vain?Remember how short my time is! For what vanity have you created all the children of men!
Psalms 89:48What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.What man is he who shall live and not see death, Who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.
Psalms 89:49Where, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, [which] thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?Lord, where are thy former loving-kindnesses, which thou didst swear to David in thy truth?Lord, where are your former lovingkindnesses, Which you swore to David in your faithfulness?
Psalms 89:50Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants that I bear in my bosom [that of] all the mighty peoplesRemember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, How I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples,
Psalms 89:51Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.With which thy enemies have reproached, O LORD; with which they have reproached the footsteps of thy anointedWith which your enemies have mocked, Yahweh, With which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.
