Job 21:1And Job answered and said,But Job answered and said,
Job 21:2Hear attentively my speech, and let this replace your consolations.Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
Job 21:3Suffer me and I will speak; and after I have spoken, mock on!Suffer me that I may speak; and after I have spoken, mock on.
Job 21:4As for me, is my complaint to a man? or wherefore should not my spirit be impatient?As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
Job 21:5Mark me, and be astonished, and lay the hand upon the mouth.Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
Job 21:6Even when I think [thereon], I am affrighted, and trembling taketh hold of my flesh.Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
Job 21:7Wherefore do the wicked live, grow old, yea, become mighty in power?Why do the wicked live, become old, and, are mighty in power?
Job 21:8Their seed is established with them in their sight, and their offspring before their eyes.Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.

Job 21:13They spend their days in prosperity, and in a moment go down to Sheol.They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
Job 21:14And they say unto ùGod, Depart from us, for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways!Therefore they say to God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
Job 21:15What is the Almighty that we should serve him? and what are we profited if we pray unto him?What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray to him?
Job 21:16Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand. The counsel of the wicked be far from me!Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
Job 21:17How often is the lamp of the wicked put out, and cometh their calamity upon them? Doth he distribute sorrows [to them] in his anger?How oft is the candle of the wicked put out? and how oft cometh their destruction upon them? God distributeth sorrows in his anger.
Job 21:18Do they become as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away?They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
Job 21:19+God layeth up [the punishment of] his iniquity for his children; he rewardeth him, and he shall know [it]:God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
Job 21:20His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the fury of the Almighty.His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
Job 21:21For what pleasure should he have in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
Job 21:22Can any teach ùGod knowledge? And he it is that judgeth those that are high.Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
Job 21:23One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet;One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
Job 21:24His sides are full of fat, and the marrow of his bones is moistened;His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
Job 21:25And another dieth in bitterness of soul, and hath not tasted good:And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
Job 21:26Together they lie down in the dust, and the worms cover them.They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
Job 21:27Lo, I know your thoughts, and the devices ye wrongfully imagine against me.Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
Job 21:28For ye say, Where is the house of the noble? and where the tent of the dwellings of the wicked?For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
Job 21:29Have ye not asked the wayfarers? and do ye not regard their tokens:Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
Job 21:30That the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity? They are led forth to the day of wrath.That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they will be brought forth to the day of wrath.
Job 21:31Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
Job 21:32Yet is he carried to the graves, and watch is kept over the tomb.Yet he shall be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
Job 21:33The clods of the valley are sweet unto him; and every man followeth suit after him, as there were innumerable before him.The clods of the valley will be sweet to him, and every man will draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
Job 21:34How then comfort ye me in vain? Your answers remain perfidious.How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
