Psalms 63:1{A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my ùGod; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:O God, thou art my God; earnestly will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee, In a dry and weary land, where no water is. Unto the end, a psalm for David.
Psalms 63:2To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;So have I looked upon thee in the sanctuary, To see thy power and thy glory. Hear, O God, my prayer, when I make supplication to thee : deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy.
Psalms 63:3For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise thee. Thou hast protected me from the assembly of the malignant; from the multitude of the workers of iniquity.
Psalms 63:4So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.So will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. For they have whetted their tongues like a sword; they have bent their bow a bitter thing,
Psalms 63:5My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips.My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; And my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips; to shoot in secret the undefiled.
Psalms 63:6When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:When I remember thee upon my bed, [And] meditate on thee in the night-watches. They will shoot at him on a sudden, and will not fear: they are resolute in wickedness. They have talked of hiding snares; they have said: Who shall see them?
Psalms 63:7For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.For thou hast been my help, And in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. They have searched after iniquities: they have failed in their search. Man shall come to a deep heart:
Psalms 63:8My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.My soul followeth hard after thee: Thy right hand upholdeth me. and God shall be exalted. The arrows of children are their wounds:
Psalms 63:9But those that seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth;But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, Shall go into the lower parts of the earth. and their tongues against them are made weak. All that saw them were troubled;
Psalms 63:10They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.They shall be given over to the power of the sword: They shall be a portion for foxes. and every man was afraid. And they declared the works of God: and understood his doings.
Psalms 63:11But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.But the king shall rejoice in God: Every one that sweareth by him shall glory; For the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. Psalm 64 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The just shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall hope in him: and all the upright in heart shall be praised.
