Psalms 58:1{To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' Of David. Michtam.} Is righteousness indeed silent? Do ye speak it? Do ye judge with equity, ye sons of men?To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?Unto the end, destroy not, for David for an inscription of It title, when Saul sent and watched his house to kill him.
Psalms 58:2Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.Yes, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; and defend me from them that rise up against me.
Psalms 58:3The wicked go astray from the womb; they err as soon as they are born, speaking lies.The wicked are estranged from their birth: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.Deliver me from them that work iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
Psalms 58:4Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder which stoppeth her ear;Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;For behold they have caught my soul: the mighty have rushed in upon me:
Psalms 58:5Which doth not hearken to the voice of enchanters, of one charming ever so wisely.Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.Neither is it my iniquity, nor my sin, O Lord: without iniquity have I run, and directed my steps.
Psalms 58:6O God, break their teeth in their mouth; break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.Rise up thou to meet me, and behold: even thou, O Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel. Attend to visit all the nations: have no mercy on all them that work iniquity.
Psalms 58:7Let them melt away as waters that flow off; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as blunted:Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.They shall return at evening, and shall suffer hunger like dogs: and shall go round about the city.
Psalms 58:8Let them be as a snail that melteth as it passeth away; [like] the untimely birth of a woman, let them not see the sun.As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.Behold they shall speak with their mouth, and a sword is in their lips: for who, say they, hath heard us ?
Psalms 58:9Before your pots feel the thorns, green or burning, they shall be whirled away.Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them: thou shalt bring all the nations to nothing.
Psalms 58:10The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his footsteps in the blood of the wicked:The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.I will keep my strength to thee: for thou art my protector:
Psalms 58:11And men shall say, Verily there is fruit for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.my God, his mercy shall prevent me.
