Psalms 15:1The inscription of a title to David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, for I have put trust in thee.Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? <A Psalm. Of David.> Lord, who may have a resting-place in your tent, a living-place on your holy hill?{A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tent? who shall dwell in the hill of thy holiness?
Psalms 15:2I have said to the Lord, thou art my God, for thou hast no need of my goods.He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, And speaketh truth in his heart; He who goes on his way uprightly, doing righteousness, and saying what is true in his heart;He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth from his heart.
Psalms 15:3To the saints, who are in his land, he hath made wonderful all my desires in them.He that slandereth not with his tongue, Nor doeth evil to his friend, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor; Whose tongue is not false, who does no evil to his friend, and does not take away the good name of his neighbour;[He that] slandereth not with his tongue, doeth not evil to his companion, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour;
Psalms 15:4Their infirmities were multiplied: afterwards they made haste. I will not gather together their meetings for blood offerings: nor will I be mindful of their names by my lips.In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honoreth them that fear Jehovah; He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not; Who gives honour to those who have the fear of the Lord, turning away from him who has not the Lord's approval. He who takes an oath against himself, and makes no change.In whose eyes the depraved person is contemned, and who honoureth them that fear Jehovah; who, if he have sworn to his own hurt, changeth it not;
Psalms 15:5The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: it is thou that wilt restore my inheritance to me.He that putteth not out his money to interest, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Psalm 16 Michtam of David. He who does not put out his money at interest, or for payment give false decisions against men who have done no wrong. He who does these things will never be moved.[He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these [things] shall never be moved.
Psalms 15:6The lines are fallen unto me in goodly places: for my inheritance is goodly to me.
Psalms 15:7I will bless the Lord, who hath given me understanding: moreover my reins also have corrected me even till night.
Psalms 15:8I set the Lord always in my sight: for he is at my right hand, that I be not moved.
Psalms 15:9Therefore my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psalms 15:10Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; nor wilt then give thy holy one to see corruption.
Psalms 15:11Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance: at thy right hand are delights even to the end.
