1st-Chronicles 10:1

Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down wounded in mount Gelboe.

Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.

Now the Philistines were fighting against Israel; and the men of Israel went in flight before the Philistines, falling down wounded in Mount Gilboa.

And the Philistines have fought with Israel, and the men of Israel flee from the face of the Philistines, and fall wounded in mount Gilboa,

1st-Chronicles 10:2

And the Philistines drew near pursuing after Saul, and his sons, and they killed Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchisua the sons of Saul.

And the Philistines followed hard after Saul and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.

And the Philistines went hard after Saul and his sons, and put to death Jonathan and Abinadab and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.

and the Philistines pursue after Saul, and after his sons, and the Philistines smite Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-Shua, sons of Saul.

1st-Chronicles 10:3

And the battle grew hard against Saul, and the archers reached him, and wounded him with arrows.

And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was distressed by reason of the archers.

And the fight was going against Saul, and the archers came across him, and he was wounded by the archers.

And the battle [is] heavy on Saul, and those shooting with the bow find him, and he is wounded by those shooting,

1st-Chronicles 10:4

And Saul said to his armourbearer: Draw thy sword, and kill me: lest these uncircumcised come, and mock me. But his armourbearer would not, for he was struck with fear: so Saul took his sword, and fell upon it.

Then said Saul unto his armor-bearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith, lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armor-bearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell upon it.

Then Saul said to the servant who had the care of his arms, Take your sword and put it through me, before these men without circumcision come and make sport of me. But his servant, full of fear, would not do so. Then Saul took out his sword, falling on it himself.

and Saul saith unto the bearer of his weapons, `Draw thy sword, and pierce me with it, lest these uncircumcised come and have abused me.` And the bearer of his weapons hath not been willing, for he feareth exceedingly, and Saul taketh the sword, and falleth upon it;

1st-Chronicles 10:5

And when his armourbearer saw it, to wit, that Saul was dead, he also fell upon his sword and died.

And when his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell upon his sword, and died.

And when his servant saw that Saul was dead, he did the same, and came to his death.

and the bearer of his weapons seeth that Saul [is] dead, and falleth, he also, on the sword, and dieth;

1st-Chronicles 10:6

So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house fell together.

So Saul died, and his three sons; and all his house died together.

So death overtook Saul and his three sons; all his family came to an end together.

and Saul dieth, and his three sons, and all his house together they died.

1st-Chronicles 10:7

And when the men of Israel, that dwelt in the plains, saw this, they fled: and Saul and his sons being dead, they forsook their cities, and were scattered up and down: and the Philistines came, and dwelt in them.

And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook their cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.

And when all the men of Israel who were in the valley saw that the men of Israel had gone in flight and that Saul and his sons were dead, they went in flight away from their towns; and the Philistines came and took them for themselves.

And all the men of Israel who [are] in the valley see that they have fled, and that Saul and his sons have died, and they forsake their cities and flee, and the Philistines come and dwell in them.

1st-Chronicles 10:8

And the next day the Philistines taking away the spoils of them that were slain, found Saul and his sons lying on mount Gelboe.

And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.

Now the day after, when the Philistines came to take their goods from the dead, they saw Saul and his sons dead in Mount Gilboa.

And it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that the Philistines come to strip the wounded, and find Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa,

1st-Chronicles 10:9

And when they had stripped him, and cut off his head, and taken away his armour, they sent it into their land, to be carried about, and shewn in the temples of the idols and to the people.

And they stripped him, and took his head, and his armor, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry the tidings unto their idols, and to the people.

And they took everything off him, and took his head and his war-dress, and sent word into the land of the Philistines round about to give the news to their gods and to the people.

and strip him, and bear away his head, and his weapons, and send into the land of the Philistines round about to proclaim tidings [to] their idols and the people,

1st-Chronicles 10:10

And his armour they dedicated in the temple of their god, and his head they fastened up in the temple of Dagon.

And they put his armor in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the house of Dagon.

And they put his war-dress in the house of their gods, and put up his head in the house of Dagon.

and put his weapons in the house of their gods, and his skull they have fixed in the house of Dagon.

1st-Chronicles 10:11

And when the men of Jabes Galaad had heard this, to wit, all that the Philistines had done to Saul,

And when all Jabesh-gilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,

And when the news came to Jabesh-gilead of what the Philistines had done to Saul,

And all Jabesh-Gilead hear of all that the Philistines have done to Saul,

All the valiant men of them arose, and took the bodies of Saul and of his sons, and brought them to Jabes, and buried their bones under the oak that was in Jabes, and they fasted seven days.

all the valiant men arose, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

All the fighting-men came up and took away Saul's body and the bodies of his sons, and took them to Jabesh, and put their bones to rest under the oak-tree in Jabesh, and took no food for seven days.

and all the men of valour rise and bear away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and bring them in to Jabesh, and bury their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fast seven days.

1st-Chronicles 10:13

So Saul died for his iniquities, because he transgressed the commandment of the Lord, which he had commanded, and kept it not: and moreover consulted also a witch,

So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against Jehovah, because of the word of Jehovah, which he kept not; and also for that he asked counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire [thereby],

So death came to Saul because of the sin which he did against the Lord, that is, because of the word of the Lord which he kept not; and because he went for directions to one who had an evil spirit,

And Saul dieth because of his trespass that he trespassed against Jehovah, against the word of Jehovah that he kept not, and also for asking at a familiar spirit to inquire,

1st-Chronicles 10:14

And trusted not is the Lord: therefore he slew him, and transferred his kingdom to David the son of Isai.

and inquired not of Jehovah: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.

And not to the Lord: for this reason, he put him to death and gave the kingdom to David, the son of Jesse.

and he inquired not at Jehovah, and He putteth him to death, and turneth round the kingdom to David son of Jesse.
