1st-Corinthians 13:1If I speak with the tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I make use of the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am like sounding brass, or a loud-tongued bell.If with the tongues of men and of messengers I speak, and have not love, I have become brass sounding, or a cymbal tinkling;
1st-Corinthians 13:2And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.And if I have [the gift of] prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And if I have a prophet's power, and have knowledge of all secret things; and if I have all faith, by which mountains may be moved from their place, but have not love, I am nothing.and if I have prophecy, and know all the secrets, and all the knowledge, and if I have all the faith, so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing;
1st-Corinthians 13:3And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.And if I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing. And if I give all my goods to the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it is of no profit to me.and if I give away to feed others all my goods, and if I give up my body that I may be burned, and have not love, I am profited nothing.
1st-Corinthians 13:4Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up;Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride;The love is long-suffering, it is kind, the love doth not envy, the love doth not vaunt itself, is not puffed up,
1st-Corinthians 13:5Is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil;doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; Love's ways are ever fair, it takes no thought for itself; it is not quickly made angry, it takes no account of evil;doth not act unseemly, doth not seek its own things, is not provoked, doth not impute evil,
1st-Corinthians 13:6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth;rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; It takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but has joy in what is true;rejoiceth not over the unrighteousness, and rejoiceth with the truth;
1st-Corinthians 13:7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love has the power of undergoing all things, having faith in all things, hoping all things.all things it beareth, all it believeth, all it hopeth, all it endureth.
1st-Corinthians 13:8Charity never falleth away: whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed.Love never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall be done away; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall be done away. Though the prophet's word may come to an end, tongues come to nothing, and knowledge have no more value, love has no end.The love doth never fail; and whether [there be] prophecies, they shall become useless; whether tongues, they shall cease; whether knowledge, it shall become useless;
1st-Corinthians 13:9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; For our knowledge is only in part, and the prophet's word gives only a part of what is true:for in part we know, and in part we prophecy;
1st-Corinthians 13:10But when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. But when that which is complete is come, then that which is in part will be no longer necessary.and when that which is perfect may come, then that which [is] in part shall become useless.
1st-Corinthians 13:11When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But, when I became a man, I put away the things of a child.When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. When I was a child, I made use of a child's language, I had a child's feelings and a child's thoughts: now that I am a man, I have put away the things of a child.When I was a babe, as a babe I was speaking, as a babe I was thinking, as a babe I was reasoning, and when I have become a man, I have made useless the things of the babe;
1st-Corinthians 13:12We see now through a glass in a dark manner; but then face to face. Now I know I part; but then I shall know even as I am known.For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known. For now we see things in a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now my knowledge is in part; then it will be complete, even as God's knowledge of me.for we see now through a mirror obscurely, and then face to face; now I know in part, and then I shall fully know, as also I was known;
1st-Corinthians 13:13And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity.But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love. But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.and now there doth remain faith, hope, love these three; and the greatest of these [is] love.
