| Psalms 16:1 | The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips. | Preserve me, O God; for in thee do I take refuge. | <Michtam. Of David.> Keep me safe, O God: for in you I have put my faith. | A Secret Treasure of David. Preserve me, O God, for I did trust in Thee. |
| Psalms 16:2 | Let my judgment come forth from thy countenance: let thy eyes behold the things that are equitable. | [O my soul], thou hast said unto Jehovah, Thou art my Lord: I have no good beyond thee. | O my soul, you have said to the Lord, You are my Lord: I have no good but you. | Thou hast said to Jehovah, `My Lord Thou [art];` My good [is] not for thine own sake; |
| Psalms 16:3 | Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me. | As for the saints that are in the earth, They are the excellent in whom is all my delight. | As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the noble in whom is all my delight. | For the holy ones who [are] in the land, And the honourable, all my delight [is] in them. |
| Psalms 16:4 | That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways. | Their sorrows shall be multiplied that give gifts for another [god]: Their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take their names upon my lips. | Their sorrows will be increased who go after another god: I will not take drink offerings from their hands, or take their names on my lips. | Multiplied are their griefs, [Who] have hastened backward; I pour not out their libations of blood, Nor do I take up their names on my lips. |
| Psalms 16:5 | Perfect thou my goings in thy paths: that my footsteps be not moved. | Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot. | The Lord is my heritage and the wine of my cup; you are the supporter of my right. | Jehovah [is] the portion of my share, and of my cup, Thou Thou dost uphold my lot. |
| Psalms 16:6 | I have cried to thee, for thou, O God, hast heard me: O incline thy ear unto me, and hear my words. | The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly heritage. | Fair are the places marked out for me; I have a noble heritage. | Lines have fallen to me in pleasant places, Yea, a beauteous inheritance [is] for me. |
| Psalms 16:7 | Shew forth thy wonderful mercies; thou who savest them that trust in thee. | I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel; Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons. | I will give praise to the Lord who has been my guide; knowledge comes to me from my thoughts in the night. | I bless Jehovah who hath counselled me; Also [in] the nights my reins instruct me. |
| Psalms 16:8 | From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings. | I have set Jehovah always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. | I have put the Lord before me at all times; because he is at my right hand, I will not be moved. | I did place Jehovah before me continually, Because at my right hand I am not moved. |
| Psalms 16:9 | From the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. My enemies have surrounded my soul: | Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; My flesh also shall dwell in safety. | Because of this my heart is glad, and my glory is full of joy: while my flesh takes its rest in hope. | Therefore hath my heart been glad, And my honour doth rejoice, Also my flesh dwelleth confidently: |
| Psalms 16:10 | they have shut up their fat: their mouth hath spoken proudly. | For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption. | For you will not let my soul be prisoned in the underworld; you will not let your loved one see the place of death. | For Thou dost not leave my soul to Sheol, Nor givest thy saintly one to see corruption. |
| Psalms 16:11 | They have cast me forth and now they have surrounded me: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth. | Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 17 A Prayer of David. | You will make clear to me the way of life; where you are joy is complete; in your right hand there are pleasures for ever and ever. | Thou causest me to know the path of life; Fulness of joys [is] with Thy presence, Pleasant things by Thy right hand for ever! |
| Psalms 16:12 | They have taken me, as a lion prepared for the prey; and as a young lion dwelling in secret places. | | | |
| Psalms 16:13 | Arise, O Lord, disappoint him and supplant him; deliver my soul from the wicked one: thy sword | | | |
| Psalms 16:14 | from the enemies of thy hand. O Lord, divide them from the few of the earth in their life: their belly is filled from thy hidden stores. They are full of children: and they have left to their little ones the rest of their substance. | | | |
| Psalms 16:15 | But as for me, I will appear before thy sight in justice: I shall be satisfied when thy glory shall appear. | | | |
