| Psalms 37:1 | A psalm for David, for a remembrance of the sabbath. | Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness. | <Of David.> Do not be angry because of the wrongdoers, or have envy of the workers of evil. | By David. Do not fret because of evil doers, Be not envious against doers of iniquity, |
| Psalms 37:2 | Rebuke me not, O Lord, in thy indignation; nor chastise me in thy wrath. | For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. | For they will quickly be cut down like grass, and become dry like the green plants. | For as grass speedily they are cut off, And as the greenness of the tender grass do fade. |
| Psalms 37:3 | For thy arrows are fastened in me : and thy hand hath been strong upon me. | Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on [his] faithfulness. | Have faith in the Lord, and do good; be at rest in the land, and go after righteousness. | Trust in Jehovah, and do good, Dwell [in] the land, and enjoy faithfulness, |

| Psalms 37:6 | My sores are putrified and corrupted, because of my foolishness. | And he will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, And thy justice as the noon-day. | And he will make your righteousness be seen like the light, and your cause like the shining of the sun. | And hath brought out as light thy righteousness, And thy judgment as noon-day. |
| Psalms 37:7 | I am become miserable, and am bowed down even to the end : I walked sorrowful all the day long. | Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. | Take your rest in the Lord, waiting quietly for him; do not be angry because of the man who does well in his evil ways, and gives effect to his bad designs. | Be silent for Jehovah, and stay thyself for Him, Do not fret because of him Who is making prosperous his way, Because of a man doing wicked devices. |

| Psalms 37:9 | I am afflicted and humbled exceedingly : I roared with the groaning of my heart. | For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land. | For the evil-doers will be cut off: but those who have faith in the Lord will have the earth for their heritage. | For evil doers are cut off, As to those waiting on Jehovah, they possess the land. |
| Psalms 37:10 | Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hidden from thee. | For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be. | For in a short time the evil-doer will be gone: you will go searching for his place, and it will not be there. | And yet a little, and the wicked is not, And thou hast considered his place, and it is not. |
| Psalms 37:11 | My heart is troubled, my strength hath left me, and the light of my eyes itself is not with me. | But the meek shall inherit the land, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. | But the gentle will have the earth for their heritage; they will take their delight in peace without measure. | And the humble do possess the land, And they have delighted themselves In the abundance of peace. |
| Psalms 37:12 | My friends and my neighbours have drawn near, and stood against me. And they that were near me stood afar off : | The wicked plotteth against the just, And gnasheth upon him with his teeth. | The sinner has evil designs against the upright, lifting up the voice of wrath against him. | The wicked is devising against the righteous, And gnashing against him his teeth. |

And they that sought evils to me spoke vain things, and studied deceits all the day long. | The Lord will laugh at him; For he seeth that his day is coming. | He will be laughed at by the Lord, who sees that his day is coming. | The Lord doth laugh at him, For He hath seen that his day cometh. |
| Psalms 37:14 | But I, as a deaf man, heard not : and as a dumb man not opening his mouth. | The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay such as are upright in the way. | The evil-doers have taken out their swords, their bows are bent; for crushing the poor, and to put to death those who are upright in their ways. | A sword have the wicked opened, And they have trodden their bow, To cause to fall the poor and needy, To slaughter the upright of the way. |
| Psalms 37:15 | And I became as a man that heareth not : and that hath no reproofs in his mouth. | Their sword shall enter into their own heart, And their bows shall be broken. | But their swords will be turned into their hearts, and their bows will be broken. | Their sword doth enter into their own heart, And their bows are shivered. |
| Psalms 37:16 | For in thee, O Lord, have I hoped : thou wilt hear me, O Lord my God. | Better is a little that the righteous hath Than the abundance of many wicked. | The little which the good man has is better than the wealth of evil-doers. | Better [is] the little of the righteous, Than the store of many wicked. |
| Psalms 37:17 | For I said: Lest at any time my enemies rejoice over me : and whilst my feet are moved, they speak great things against me. | For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; But Jehovah upholdeth the righteous. | For the arms of the evil-doers will be broken: but the Lord is the support of the good. | For the arms of the wicked are shivered, And Jehovah is sustaining the righteous. |
| Psalms 37:18 | For I am ready for scourges : and my sorrow is continually before me. | Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; And their inheritance shall be for ever. | The days of the upright are numbered by the Lord, and their heritage will be for ever. | Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect, And their inheritance is to the age. |
| Psalms 37:19 | For I will declare my inequity : and I will think for my sin. | They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. | They will not be shamed in the evil time, and in the days when all are in need of food they will have enough. | They are not ashamed in a time of evil, And in days of famine they are satisfied. |
| Psalms 37:20 | But my enemies live, and are stronger that I : and they hate me wrongfully are multiplied. | But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; In smoke shall they consume away. | But the wrongdoers will come to destruction, and the haters of the Lord will be like the fat of lambs, they will be burned up; they will go up in smoke, and never again be seen. | But the wicked perish, and the enemies of Jehovah, As the preciousness of lambs, Have been consumed, In smoke they have been consumed. |
| Psalms 37:21 | They that render evil for good, have detracted me, because I followed goodness. | The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth. | The sinner takes money and does not give it back; but the upright man has mercy, and gives to others. | The wicked is borrowing and repayeth not, And the righteous is gracious and giving. |
| Psalms 37:22 | Forsake me not, O Lord my God : do not thou depart from me. | For such as are blessed of him shall inherit the land; And they that are cursed of him shall be cut off. | Those who have his blessing will have the earth for their heritage; but those who are cursed by him will be cut off. | For His blessed ones do possess the land, And His reviled ones are cut off. |
