Psalms 50:1Unto the end, a psalm of David,The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, hath spoken, And called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. <A Psalm. Of Asaph.> The God of gods, even the Lord, has sent out his voice, and the earth is full of fear; from the coming up of the sun to its going down.A Psalm of Asaph. The God of gods Jehovah hath spoken, And He calleth to the earth From the rising of the sun unto its going in.
Psalms 50:2when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bethsabee.Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth. From Zion, most beautiful of places, God has sent out his light. From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shone.
Psalms 50:3Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity. Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence: A fire devoureth before him, And it is very tempestuous round about him. Our God will come, and will not keep quiet; with fire burning before him, and storm-winds round him.Our God cometh, and is not silent, Fire before Him doth devour, And round about him it hath been very tempestuous.
Psalms 50:4Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.He calleth to the heavens above, And to the earth, that he may judge his people: His voice will go out to the heavens and to the earth, for the judging of his people:He doth call unto the heavens from above, And unto the earth, to judge His people.
Psalms 50:5For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me.Gather my saints together unto me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. Let my saints come together to me; those who have made an agreement with me by offerings.Gather ye to Me My saints, Making covenant with Me over a sacrifice.
Psalms 50:6To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: that thou mayst be justified in thy words and mayst overcome when thou art judged. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; For God is judge himself. Selah And let the heavens make clear his righteousness; for God himself is the judge. (Selah.)And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself [is] judge. Selah.
Psalms 50:7For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, [even] thy God. Give ear, O my people, to my words; O Israel, I will be a witness against you; I am God, even your God.Hear, O My people, and I speak, O Israel, and I testify against thee, God, thy God [am] I.
Psalms 50:8For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices; And thy burnt-offerings are continually before me. I will not take up a cause against you because of your offerings, or because of your burned offerings, which are ever before me.Not for thy sacrifices do I reprove thee, Yea, thy burnt-offerings [Are] before Me continually.
Psalms 50:9Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.I will take no bullock out of thy house, Nor he-goats out of thy folds. I will take no ox out of your house, or he-goats from your flocks;I take not from thy house a bullock, From thy folds he goats.
Psalms 50:10To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice. For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills. For every beast of the woodland is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. For Mine [is] every beast of the forest, The cattle on the hills of oxen.
Psalms 50:11Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.I know all the birds of the mountains; And the wild beasts of the field are mine. I see all the birds of the mountains, and the beasts of the field are mine.I have known every fowl of the mountains, And the wild beast of the field [is] with Me.
Psalms 50:12Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. If I had need of food, I would not give you word of it; for the earth is mine and all its wealth. If I am hungry I tell not to thee, For Mine [is] the world and its fulness.
Psalms 50:13Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats? Am I to take the flesh of the ox for my food, or the blood of goats for my drink?Do I eat the flesh of bulls, And drink the blood of he-goats?
Psalms 50:14Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; And pay thy vows unto the Most High: Make an offering of praise to God; keep the agreements which you have made with the Most High;Sacrifice to God confession, And complete to the Most High thy vows.
Psalms 50:15I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee. And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Let your voice come up to me in the day of trouble; I will be your saviour, so that you may give glory to me.And call Me in a day of adversity, I deliver thee, and thou honourest Me.
Psalms 50:16Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice. But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, And that thou hast taken my covenant in thy mouth, But to the sinner, God says, What are you doing, talking of my laws, or taking the words of my agreement in your mouth? And to the wicked hath God said: What to thee to recount My statutes? That thou liftest up My covenant on thy mouth?
Psalms 50:17O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: and my mouth shall declare thy praise.Seeing thou hatest instruction, And castest my words behind thee? Seeing that you have no desire for my teaching, turning your back on my words.Yea, thou hast hated instruction, And dost cast My words behind thee.
Psalms 50:18For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted. When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers. When you saw a thief, you were in agreement with him, and you were joined with those who took other men's wives. If thou hast seen a thief, Then thou art pleased with him, And with adulterers [is] thy portion.
Psalms 50:19A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.Thou givest thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit. You have given your mouth to evil, your tongue to words of deceit.Thy mouth thou hast sent forth with evil, And thy tongue joineth deceit together,
Psalms 50:20Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son. You say evil of your brother; you make false statements against your mother's son.Thou sittest, against thy brother thou speakest, Against a son of thy mother givest slander.
Psalms 50:21Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thyself: [But] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes. These things have you done, and I said nothing; it seemed to you that I was such a one as yourself; but I will make a protest against you, and put them in order before your eyes. These thou didst, and I kept silent, Thou hast thought that I am like thee, I reprove thee, and set in array before thine eyes.
