Psalms 65:1Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed. <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. A Song.> It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. A Song. To Thee, silence praise, O God, [is] in Zion, And to Thee is a vow completed.
Psalms 65:2sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come. To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.Hearer of prayer, to Thee all flesh cometh.
Psalms 65:3Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them. Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.Matters of iniquities were mightier than I, Our transgressions Thou dost cover them.
Psalms 65:4Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach [unto thee], That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple. Happy is the man of your selection, to whom you give a resting-place in your house; we will be full of the good things out of your holy place.O the happiness of [him whom] Thou choosest, And drawest near, he inhabiteth Thy courts, We are satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple.
Psalms 65:5Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, Oh God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea: You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;By fearful things in righteousness Thou answerest us, O God of our salvation, The confidence of all far off ends of earth and sea.
Psalms 65:6Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might; The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:Establishing mountains by His power, He hath been girded with might,
Psalms 65:7Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples. Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.Restraining the noise of seas, the noise of their billows, And the multitude of the peoples.
Psalms 65:8O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.And the inhabitants of the uttermost parts From Thy signs are afraid, The outgoings of morning and evening Thou causest to sing.
Psalms 65:9Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth. You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.Thou hast inspected the earth, and waterest it, Thou makest it very rich, the rivulet of God [is] full of water, Thou preparest their corn, When thus Thou dost prepare it,
Psalms 65:10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof. You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth.Its ridges have been filled, Deepened hath been its furrow, With showers Thou dost soften it, Its springing up Thou blessest.
Psalms 65:11Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness. The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,Thou hast crowned the year of Thy goodness, And Thy paths drop fatness.
Psalms 65:12thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy. Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.Drop do the pastures of a wilderness, And joy of the heights Thou girdest on.
Psalms 65:13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered over with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing. Psalm 66 For the Chief Musician. A song, a Psalm. The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.Clothed have lambs the flock, And valleys are covered with corn, They shout yea, they sing!
Psalms 65:14which my lips have uttered, And my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
Psalms 65:15I will offer up to thee holocausts full of marrow, with burnt offerings of rams: I will offer to thee bullocks with goats.
Psalms 65:16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what great things he hath done for my soul.
Psalms 65:17I cried to him with my mouth: and I extolled him with my tongue.
Psalms 65:18If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
Psalms 65:19Therefore hath God heard me, and hath attended to the voice of my supplication.
Psalms 65:20Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
