| Psalms 41:1 | Unto the end, understanding for the sons of Core. | Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil. | {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Blessed is he that understandeth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil. | To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. O the happiness of him Who is acting wisely unto the poor, In a day of evil doth Jehovah deliver him. |
| Psalms 41:2 | As the hart panteth after the fountains of water; so my soul panteth after thee, O God. | Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive, And he shall be blessed upon the earth; And deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies. | Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive; he shall be made happy in the land; and thou wilt not deliver him to the will of his enemies. | Jehovah doth preserve him and revive him, He is happy in the land, And Thou givest him not into the will of his enemies. |
| Psalms 41:3 | My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God? | Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness. | Jehovah will sustain him upon the bed of languishing: thou turnest all his bed in his sickness. | Jehovah supporteth on a couch of sickness, All his bed Thou hast turned in his weakness. |
| Psalms 41:4 | My tears have been any bread day and night, whilst it is said to me daily : Where is thy God? | I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. | As for me, I said, Jehovah, be gracious unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. | I I said, `O Jehovah, favour me, Heal my soul, for I did sin against Thee,` |
| Psalms 41:5 | These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me : for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God : With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting. | Mine enemies speak evil against me, [saying], When will he die, and his name perish? | Mine enemies wish me evil: When will he die, and his name perish? | Mine enemies say evil of me: When he dieth his name hath perished! |
| Psalms 41:6 | Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance, | And if he come to see [me], he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it. | And if one come to see [me], he speaketh falsehood; his heart gathereth wickedness to itself: he goeth abroad, he telleth [it]. | And if he came to see vanity he speaketh, His heart gathereth iniquity to itself, He goeth out at the street he speaketh. |
| Psalms 41:7 | and my God. My soul is troubled within myself : therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermoniim, from the little hill. | All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise my hurt. | All that hate me whisper together against me; against me do they devise my hurt. | All hating me whisper together against me, Against me they devise evil to me: |
| Psalms 41:8 | Deep calleth on deep, at the noise of thy flood-gates. All thy heights and thy billows have passed over me. | An evil disease, [say they], cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. | A thing of Belial cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he is laid down, he will rise up no more. | A thing of Belial is poured out on him, And because he lay down he riseth not again. |
| Psalms 41:9 | In the daytime the Lord hath commanded his mercy; and a canticle to him in the night. With me is prayer to the God of my life. | Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me. | Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I confided, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up [his] heel against me. | Even mine ally, in whom I trusted, One eating my bread, made great the heel against me, |
| Psalms 41:10 | I will say to God : Thou art my support. Why hast thou forgotten me? and why go I mourning, whilst my enemy afflicteth me? | But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them. | But thou, Jehovah, be gracious unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. | And Thou, Jehovah, favour me, And cause me to rise, And I give recompence to them. |
| Psalms 41:11 | Whilst my bones are broken, my enemies who trouble me have reproached me; Whilst they say to me day be day : Where is thy God? | By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. | By this I know that thou delightest in me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. | By this I have known, That Thou hast delighted in me, Because my enemy shouteth not over me. |
| Psalms 41:12 | Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope thou in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance, and my God. | And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever. | But as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. | As to me, in mine integrity, Thou hast taken hold upon me, And causest me to stand before Thee to the age. |
