Psalms 46:1Unto the end, for the sons of Core.God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.To the Overseer. By sons of Korah. `For the Virgins.` A song. God [is] to us a refuge and strength, A help in adversities found most surely.
Psalms 46:2O clap your hands, all ye nations: shout unto God with the voice of Joy,Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas; Therefore will we not fear, though the earth shall be removed, and though the mountains shall be carried into the midst of the sea;Therefore we fear not in the changing of earth, And in the slipping of mountains Into the heart of the seas.
Psalms 46:3For the Lord is high, terrible: a great king over all the earth.Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains tremble with the swelling thereof. Selah Though its waters shall roar and be disturbed, though the mountains shake with the swelling of it. Selah.Roar troubled are its waters, Mountains they shake in its pride. Selah.
Psalms 46:4He hath subdued the people under us; and the nations under our feet.There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. There is a river, the streams of which shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.A river its rivulets rejoice the city of God, Thy holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
Psalms 46:5He hath chosen for us his inheritance the beauty of Jacob which he hath loved.God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God will help her, and that right early. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.God [is] in her midst she is not moved, God doth help her at the turn of the morn!
Psalms 46:6God is ascended with jubilee, and the Lord with the sound of trumpet.The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered his voice, the earth melted. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.Troubled have been nations, Moved have been kingdoms, He hath given forth with His voice, earth melteth.
Psalms 46:7Sing praises to our God, sing ye: sing praises to our king, sing ye.Jehovah of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.Jehovah of Hosts [is] with us, A tower for us [is] the God of Jacob. Selah.
Psalms 46:8For God is the king of all the earth: sing ye wisely.Come, behold the works of Jehovah, What desolations he hath made in the earth. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.Come ye, see the works of Jehovah, Who hath done astonishing things in the earth,
Psalms 46:9God shall reign over the nations: God sitteth on his holy throne.He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire. He maketh wars to cease to the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear asunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.Causing wars to cease, Unto the end of the earth, the bow he shivereth, And the spear He hath cut asunder, Chariots he doth burn with fire.
Psalms 46:10The princes of the people are gathered together, with the God of Abraham: for the strong gods of the earth are exceedingly exalted.Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.Desist, and know that I [am] God, I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth.
