Psalms 53:2When the men of Ziph had come and said to Saul: Is not David hidden with us?God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God. Psalms 53:3Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me in thy strength.Every one of them is gone back; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalms 53:4O God, hear my prayer: give ear to the words of my mouth.Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And call not upon God? Psalms 53:5For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes. There were they in great fear, where no fear was; For God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: Thou hast put them to shame, because of God hath rejected them. There they were in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. There they feared a fear there was no fear, For God hath scattered the bones of him Who is encamping against thee, Thou hast put to shame, For God hath despised them.
