Isaiah 43:1And now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, and called thee by thy name: thou art mine.But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.
Isaiah 43:2When thou shalt pass through the waters, I will be with thee, and the rivers shall not cover thee: when thou shalt walk in the fire, thou shalt not be burnt, and the flames shall not burn in thee:When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Isaiah 43:3For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I have given Egypt for thy atonement, Ethiopia and Saba for thee.For I am Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in thy stead.
Isaiah 43:4Since thou becamest honourable in my eyes, thou art glorious: I have loved thee, and I will give men for thee, and people for thy life.Since thou hast been precious in my sight, [and] honorable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men in thy stead, and peoples instead of thy life.
Isaiah 43:5Fear not, for I am with thee: I will. bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west.Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
Isaiah 43:6I will say to the north: Give up: and to the south: Keep not back: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back; bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the end of the earth;
Isaiah 43:7And every one that calleth upon my name, I have created him for my glory, I have formed him, and made him.every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yea, whom I have made.
Isaiah 43:8Bring forth the people that are blind, and have eyes: that are deaf, and have ears.Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
Isaiah 43:9All the nations are assembled together, and the tribes are gathered: who among you can declare this, and shall make us hear the former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, let them be justified, and hear, and say: It is truth.Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
Isaiah 43:10You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know, and believe me, and understand that I myself am. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there shall be none.Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isaiah 43:11I am, I am the Lord: and there is no saviour besides me.I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.
Isaiah 43:12I have declared, and have saved. I have made it heard, and there was no strange one among you. You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and I am God.I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed; and there was no strange [god] among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and I am God.
Isaiah 43:13And from the beginning I am the same, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall turn it away?Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who can hinder it?
Isaiah 43:14Thus saith the Lord your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their bars, and the Chaldeans glorying in their ships.Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.
Isaiah 43:15I am the Lord your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
Isaiah 43:16Thus saith the Lord, who made a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters.Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
Isaiah 43:17Who brought forth the chariot and the horse, the army and the strong: they lay down to sleep together, and they shall not rise again: they are broken as flax, and are extinct.who bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as a wick):
Isaiah 43:18Remember not former things, and look not on things of old.Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Isaiah 43:19Behold I do new things, and now they shall spring forth, verily you shall know them: I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:20The beast of the field shall glorify me, the dragons and the ostriches: because I have given waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, to my chosen.The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
Isaiah 43:21This people have I formed for my- self, they shall shew forth my praise.the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise.
Isaiah 43:22But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob, neither hast thou laboured about me, O Israel.Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
Isaiah 43:23Thou hast not offered me the ram of thy holocaust, nor hast thou glorified me with thy victims: I have not caused thee to serve with oblations, nor wearied thee with incense.Thou hast not brought me of thy sheep for burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.
Isaiah 43:24Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy victims. But thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities.Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast burdened me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
Isaiah 43:25I am, I am he that blot out thy iniquities for my own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.
Isaiah 43:26Put me in remembrance, and let us plead together: tell if thou hast any thing to justify thyself.Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth [thy cause], that thou mayest be justified.
Isaiah 43:27Thy brat father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
Isaiah 43:28And I have profaned the holy princes, I have given Jacob to slaughter, and Israel to reproach.Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel a reviling.
