| Psalms 10:1 | Why, O Lord, hast thou retired afar off? why dost thou slight us in our wants, in the time of trouble? | Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? |
| Psalms 10:1 | Unto the end. A psalm for David. | In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived. |
| Psalms 10:2 | In the Lord I put my trust: how then do you say to my soul: Get thee away from hence to the mountain like a sparrow? | For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, And the covetous renounceth, [yea], contemneth Jehovah. |
| Psalms 10:2 | Whilst the wicked man is proud, the poor is set on fire: they are caught in the counsels which they devise. | The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, [saith], He will not require [it]. All his thoughts are, There is no God. |
| Psalms 10:3 | For the sinner is praised in the desires of his soul: and the unjust man is blessed. | His ways are firm at all times; Thy judgments are far above out of his sight: As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them. |
