Psalms 76:1Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of Asaph.In Judah is God known: His name is great in Israel.
Psalms 76:2I cried to the Lord with my voice; to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me.In Salem also is his tabernacle, And his dwelling-place in Zion.
Psalms 76:3In the day of my trouble I sought God, with my hands lifted up to him in the night, and I was not deceived. My soul refused to be comforted:There he brake the arrows of the bow; The shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah
Psalms 76:4I remembered God, and was delighted, and was exercised, and my spirit swooned away.Glorious art thou [and] excellent, From the mountains of prey.
Psalms 76:5My eyes prevented the watches: I was troubled, and I spoke not.The stouthearted are made a spoil, They have slept their sleep; And none of the men of might have found their hands.
Psalms 76:6I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years.At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.
Psalms 76:7And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.Thou, even thou, art to be feared; And who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
Psalms 76:8Will God then cast off for ever? or will he never be more favourable again?Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; The earth feared, and was still,
Psalms 76:9Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation?When God arose to judgment, To save all the meek of the earth. Selah
Psalms 76:10Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies?Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: The residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.
Psalms 76:11And I said, Now have I begun: this is the change of the right hand of the most High.Vow, and pay unto Jehovah your God: Let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
Psalms 76:12I remembered the works of the Lord: for I will be mindful of thy wonders from the beginning.He will cut off the spirit of princes: He is terrible to the kings of the earth. Psalm 77 For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthan. A Psalm of Asaph.
Psalms 76:13And I will meditate on all thy works: and will be employed in thy inventions.
Psalms 76:14Thy way, O God, is in the holy place: who is the great God like our God?
Psalms 76:15Thou art the God that dost wonders. Thou hast made thy power known among the nations:
Psalms 76:16with thy arm thou hast redeemed thy people the children of Jacob and of Joseph.
Psalms 76:17The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: and they were afraid, and the depths were troubled.
Psalms 76:18Great was the noise of the waters: the clouds sent out a sound. For thy arrows pass:
Psalms 76:19the voice of thy thunder in a wheel. Thy lightnings enlightened the world: the earth shook and trembled.
Psalms 76:20Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters: and thy footsteps shall not be known.
Psalms 76:21Thou hast conducted thy people like sheep, by the hand of Moses and Aaron
