Psalms 91:1A psalm of a canticle on the sabbath day.Happy is he whose resting-place is in the secret of the Lord, and under the shade of the wings of the Most High;He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalms 91:2It is good to give praise to the Lord: and to sing to thy name, O most High.Who says of the Lord, He is my safe place and my tower of strength: he is my God, in whom is my hope.I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust."I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.
Psalms 91:3To shew forth thy mercy in the morning, and thy truth in the night:He will take you out of the bird-net, and keep you safe from wasting disease.For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, From the deadly pestilence.For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
Psalms 91:4Upon an instrument of ten strings, upon the psaltery: with a canticle upon the harp.You will be covered by his feathers; under his wings you will be safe: his good faith will be your salvation.He will cover you with his pinions, Under his wings you will take refuge. His truth is a shield and a buckler.He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.
Psalms 91:5For thou hast given me, O Lord, a delight in thy doings: and in the works of thy hands I shall rejoice.You will have no fear of the evil things of the night, or of the arrow in flight by day,You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day;Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Psalms 91:6O Lord, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are exceeding deep.Or of the disease which takes men in the dark, or of the destruction which makes waste when the sun is high.Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Psalms 91:7The senseless man shall not know: nor will the fool understand these things.You will see a thousand falling by your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.A thousand shall fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it will not come near you.A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; [But] it shall not come nigh thee.
Psalms 91:8When the wicked shall spring up as grass: and all the workers of iniquity shall appear: That they may perish for ever and ever:Only with your eyes will you see the reward of the evil-doers.You will only look with your eyes, And see the reward of the wicked.Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, And see the reward of the wicked.
Psalms 91:9but thou, O Lord, art most high for evermore.Because you have said, I am in the hands of the Lord, the Most High is my safe resting-place;For you, Yahweh, are my refuge! You have made the Most High your habitation.For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;
Psalms 91:10For behold thy enemies, O Lord, for behold thy enemies shall perish: and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.No evil will come on you, and no disease will come near your tent.No evil will happen to you, Neither shall any plague come near your tent.There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
Psalms 91:11But my horn shall be exalted like that of the unicorn: and my old age in plentiful mercy.For he will give you into the care of his angels to keep you wherever you go.For he will give his angels charge over you, To guard you in all your ways.For he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways.
Psalms 91:12My eye also hath looked down upon my enemies: and my ear shall hear of the downfall of the malignant that rise up against me.In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed against a stone.They will bear you up in their hands, So that you won't dash your foot against a stone.They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Psalms 91:13The just shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus.You will put your foot on the lion and the snake; the young lion and the great snake will be crushed under your feet.You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under foot.
Psalms 91:14They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.Because he has given me his love, I will take him out of danger: I will put him in a place of honour, because he has kept my name in his heart.Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
Psalms 91:15They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated,When his cry comes up to me, I will give him an answer: I will be with him in trouble; I will make him free from danger and give him honour.He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.
Psalms 91:16that they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.With long life will he be rewarded; and I will let him see my salvation.I will satisfy him with long life, And show him my salvation. Psalm 92 A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.With long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation. Psalm 92 A Psalm, a Song for the sabbath day.
