| Psalms 16:1 | The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips. | <Michtam. Of David.> Keep me safe, O God: for in you I have put my faith. | Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. | {Michtam of David.} Preserve me, O ùGod: for I trust in thee. |
| Psalms 16:2 | Let my judgment come forth from thy countenance: let thy eyes behold the things that are equitable. | O my soul, you have said to the Lord, You are my Lord: I have no good but you. | My soul, you have said to Yahweh, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing." | Thou [my soul] hast said to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee; |
| Psalms 16:3 | Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me. | As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the noble in whom is all my delight. | As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. | To the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delight. |
| Psalms 16:4 | That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways. | Their sorrows will be increased who go after another god: I will not take drink offerings from their hands, or take their names on my lips. | Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take their names on my lips. | Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, and I will not take up their names into my lips. |
| Psalms 16:5 | Perfect thou my goings in thy paths: that my footsteps be not moved. | The Lord is my heritage and the wine of my cup; you are the supporter of my right. | Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure. | Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. |
| Psalms 16:6 | I have cried to thee, for thou, O God, hast heard me: O incline thy ear unto me, and hear my words. | Fair are the places marked out for me; I have a noble heritage. | The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance. | The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. |
| Psalms 16:7 | Shew forth thy wonderful mercies; thou who savest them that trust in thee. | I will give praise to the Lord who has been my guide; knowledge comes to me from my thoughts in the night. | I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. | I will bless Jehovah, who giveth me counsel; even in the nights my reins instruct me. |
| Psalms 16:8 | From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings. | I have put the Lord before me at all times; because he is at my right hand, I will not be moved. | I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. | I have set Jehovah continually before me; because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved. |
| Psalms 16:9 | From the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. My enemies have surrounded my soul: | Because of this my heart is glad, and my glory is full of joy: while my flesh takes its rest in hope. | Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety. | Therefore my heart rejoiceth, and my glory exulteth; my flesh moreover shall dwell in hope. |
| Psalms 16:10 | they have shut up their fat: their mouth hath spoken proudly. | For you will not let my soul be prisoned in the underworld; you will not let your loved one see the place of death. | For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, Neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption. | For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption. |
| Psalms 16:11 | They have cast me forth and now they have surrounded me: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth. | You will make clear to me the way of life; where you are joy is complete; in your right hand there are pleasures for ever and ever. | You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 17 A Prayer by David. | Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore. |
| Psalms 16:12 | They have taken me, as a lion prepared for the prey; and as a young lion dwelling in secret places. | | | |
| Psalms 16:13 | Arise, O Lord, disappoint him and supplant him; deliver my soul from the wicked one: thy sword | | | |
| Psalms 16:14 | from the enemies of thy hand. O Lord, divide them from the few of the earth in their life: their belly is filled from thy hidden stores. They are full of children: and they have left to their little ones the rest of their substance. | | | |
| Psalms 16:15 | But as for me, I will appear before thy sight in justice: I shall be satisfied when thy glory shall appear. | | | |
