| Psalms 27:1 | A psalm for David himself. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: O my God, be not thou silent to me: lest thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. | <Of David.> The Lord is my light and my salvation; who is then a cause of fear to me? the Lord is the strength of my life; who is a danger to me? | Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? | {[A Psalm] of David.} Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? |
| Psalms 27:2 | Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple. | When evil-doers, even my haters, came on me to put an end to me, they were broken and put to shame. | When evil-doers came at me to eat up my flesh, Even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. | When evil-doers, mine adversaries and mine enemies, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. |
| Psalms 27:3 | Draw me not away together with the wicked; and with the workers of iniquity destroy me not: Who speak peace with their neighbour, but evils are in their hearts. | Even if an army came against me with its tents, my heart would have no fear: if war was made on me, my faith would not be moved. | Though a host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, Even then I will be confident. | If a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; if war rise against me, in this will I be confident. |
| Psalms 27:4 | Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward. | One prayer have I made to the Lord, and this is my heart's desire; that I may have a place in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, looking on his glory, and getting wisdom in his Temple. | One thing have I asked of Yahweh, that will I seek after, That I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, To see the beauty of Yahweh, And to inquire in his temple. | One [thing] have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to inquire [of him] in his temple. |
| Psalms 27:5 | Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up. | For in the time of trouble he will keep me safe in his tent: in the secret place of his tent he will keep me from men's eyes; high on a rock he will put me. | For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tent will he hide me. He will lift me up on a rock. | For in the day of evil he will hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tent will he keep me concealed: he will set me high upon a rock. |
| Psalms 27:6 | Blessed be the Lord, for he hath heard the voice of my supplication. | And now my head will be lifted up higher than my haters who are round me: because of this I will make offerings of joy in his tent; I will make a song, truly I will make a song of praise to the Lord. | Now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh. | And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; and I will offer in his tent sacrifices of shouts of joy: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms unto Jehovah. |

And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give praise to him. | O Lord, let the voice of my cry come to your ears: have mercy on me, and give me an answer. | Hear, Yahweh, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me. | Hear, Jehovah; with my voice do I call; be gracious unto me, and answer me. |
| Psalms 27:8 | The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed. | When you said, Make search for my face, my heart said to you, For your face will I make my search. | When you said, "Seek my face," My heart said to you, "I will seek your face, Yahweh." | My heart said for thee, Seek ye my face. Thy face, O Jehovah, will I seek. |
| Psalms 27:9 | Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: and rule them and exalt them for ever. | Let not your face be covered from me; do not put away your servant in wrath; you have been my help: do not give me up or take your support from me, O God of my salvation. | Don't hide your face from me. Don't put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don't abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation. | Hide not thy face from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. |
