| Psalms 32:1 | A psalm for David. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye just: praise becometh the upright. | <Of David. Maschil.> Happy is he who has forgiveness for his wrongdoing, and whose sin is covered. | Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. | {Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he [whose] transgression is forgiven, [whose] sin is covered! |
| Psalms 32:2 | Give praise to the Lord on the harp; sing to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings. | Happy is the man in whom the Lord sees no evil, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. | Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn't impute iniquity, In whose spirit there is no deceit. | Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah reckoneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile! |
| Psalms 32:3 | Sing to him a new canticle, sing well unto him with a loud noise. | When I kept my mouth shut, my bones were wasted, because of my crying all through the day. | When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. | When I kept silence, my bones waxed old, through my groaning all the day long. |
| Psalms 32:4 | For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done with faithfulness. | For the weight of your hand was on me day and night; my body became dry like the earth in summer. (Selah.) | For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah. | For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah. |
| Psalms 32:5 | He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord. | I made my wrongdoing clear to you, and did not keep back my sin. I said, I will put it all before the Lord; and you took away my wrongdoing and my sin. (Selah.) | I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn't hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, And you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. | I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. |
| Psalms 32:6 | By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth: | For this cause let every saint make his prayer to you at a time when you are near: then the overflowing of the great waters will not overtake him. | For this, let everyone that is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him. | For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee at a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they will not reach him. |
| Psalms 32:7 | Gathering together the waters of the sea, as in a vessel; laying up the depths in storehouses. | You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah.) | You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. | Thou art a hiding-place for me; thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with songs of deliverance. Selah. |
| Psalms 32:8 | Let all the earth fear the Lord, and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of him. | I will give you knowledge, teaching you the way to go; my eye will be your guide. | I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. | I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel [thee] with mine eye upon thee. |
| Psalms 32:9 | For he spoke and they were made: he commanded and they were created. | Do not be like the horse or the ass, without sense; ... | Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, Whose are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you. | Be ye not as a horse, as a mule, which have no understanding: whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto thee. |
| Psalms 32:10 | The Lord bringeth to naught the counsels of nations; and he rejecteth the devices of people, and casteth away the counsels of princes. | The sinner will be full of trouble; but mercy will be round the man who has faith in the Lord. | Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, But he who trusts in Yahweh, lovingkindness shall surround him. | Many sorrows hath the wicked; but he that confideth in Jehovah, loving-kindness shall encompass him. |
| Psalms 32:11 | But the counsel of the Lord standeth for ever: the thoughts of his heart to all generations. | Be glad in the Lord with joy, you upright men; give cries of joy, all you whose hearts are true. | Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart! Psalm 33 | Rejoice in Jehovah, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart. |
