Psalms 32:1A psalm for David. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye just: praise becometh the upright.<Of David. Maschil.> Happy is he who has forgiveness for his wrongdoing, and whose sin is covered.Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.{Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he [whose] transgression is forgiven, [whose] sin is covered!
Psalms 32:2Give praise to the Lord on the harp; sing to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings.Happy is the man in whom the Lord sees no evil, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn't impute iniquity, In whose spirit there is no deceit.Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah reckoneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile!
Psalms 32:3Sing to him a new canticle, sing well unto him with a loud noise. When I kept my mouth shut, my bones were wasted, because of my crying all through the day. When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old, through my groaning all the day long.
Psalms 32:4For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done with faithfulness. For the weight of your hand was on me day and night; my body became dry like the earth in summer. (Selah.)For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
Psalms 32:5He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.I made my wrongdoing clear to you, and did not keep back my sin. I said, I will put it all before the Lord; and you took away my wrongdoing and my sin. (Selah.)I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn't hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, And you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psalms 32:6By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth:For this cause let every saint make his prayer to you at a time when you are near: then the overflowing of the great waters will not overtake him.For this, let everyone that is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee at a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they will not reach him.
Psalms 32:7Gathering together the waters of the sea, as in a vessel; laying up the depths in storehouses. You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah.)You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.Thou art a hiding-place for me; thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Psalms 32:8Let all the earth fear the Lord, and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of him.I will give you knowledge, teaching you the way to go; my eye will be your guide.I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel [thee] with mine eye upon thee.
Psalms 32:9For he spoke and they were made: he commanded and they were created.Do not be like the horse or the ass, without sense; ...Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, Whose are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.Be ye not as a horse, as a mule, which have no understanding: whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto thee.
Psalms 32:10The Lord bringeth to naught the counsels of nations; and he rejecteth the devices of people, and casteth away the counsels of princes. The sinner will be full of trouble; but mercy will be round the man who has faith in the Lord. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, But he who trusts in Yahweh, lovingkindness shall surround him. Many sorrows hath the wicked; but he that confideth in Jehovah, loving-kindness shall encompass him.
Psalms 32:11But the counsel of the Lord standeth for ever: the thoughts of his heart to all generations.Be glad in the Lord with joy, you upright men; give cries of joy, all you whose hearts are true.Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart! Psalm 33Rejoice in Jehovah, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart.
