Of Ethan the Ezrahite.} I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation. |
| Psalms 89:2 | Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God. | For you have said, Mercy will be made strong for ever; my faith will be unchanging in the heavens. | I indeed declare, "Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them." | For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness. |

| Psalms 89:6 | In the morning man shall grow up like grass; in the morning he shall flourish and pass away: in the evening he shall fall, grow dry, and wither. | For who is there in the heavens in comparison with the Lord? who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods? | For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh, | For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? [who] among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah? |
| Psalms 89:7 | For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation. | God is greatly to be feared among the saints, and to be honoured over all those who are about him. | A very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, To be feared above all those who are around him? | ùGod is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him. |
| Psalms 89:8 | Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance. | O Lord God of armies, who is strong like you, O Jah? and your unchanging faith is round about you. | Yahweh, God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like you? Yah, your faithfulness is around you. | Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee. |
| Psalms 89:9 | For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. Our years shall be considered spider: | You have rule over the sea in storm; when its waves are troubled, you make them calm. | You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them. | *Thou* rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, *thou* stillest them. |
| Psalms 89:10 | the days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. For mildness is come upon us: and we shall be corrected. | Rahab was crushed by you like one wounded to death; with your strong arm you put to flight all your haters. | You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm. | Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength. |
| Psalms 89:11 | Who knoweth the power of thy anger, and for thy fear | Yours are the heavens, and the earth is yours; you have made the world, and everything which is in it. | The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours; The world and its fullness. You have founded them. | Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, *thou* hast founded them. |
| Psalms 89:12 | can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom. | You have made the north and the south; Tabor and Hermon are sounding with joy at your name. | The north and the south, you have created them. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name. | The north and the south, *thou* hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name. |
| Psalms 89:13 | Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated in favour of thy servants. | Yours is an arm of power; strong is your hand and high your right hand. | You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted. | Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand. |
| Psalms 89:14 | We are filled in the morning with thy mercy: and we have rejoiced, and are delighted all our days. | The seat of your kingdom is resting on righteousness and right judging: mercy and good faith come before your face. | Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Lovingkindness and truth go before your face. | Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face. |
| Psalms 89:15 | We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils. | Happy are the people who have knowledge of the holy cry: the light of your face, O Lord, will be shining on their way. | Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, Yahweh. | Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance. |
| Psalms 89:16 | Look upon thy servants and upon their works: and direct their children. | In your name will they have joy all the day: in your righteousness will they be lifted up. | In your name do they rejoice all day. In your favor, our horn will be exalted. | For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. |
