| Psalms 26:1 | The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid? | <Of David.> O Lord, be my judge, for my behaviour has been upright: I have put my faith in the Lord, I am not in danger of slipping. | Judge me, Yahweh, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in Yahweh without wavering. | A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. |
| Psalms 26:2 | Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen. | Put me in the scales, O Lord, so that I may be tested; let the fire make clean my thoughts and my heart. | Examine me, Yahweh, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind. | Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. |
| Psalms 26:3 | If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident. | For your mercy is before my eyes; and I have gone in the way of your good faith. | For your lovingkindness is before my eyes. I have walked in your truth. | For thy loving-kindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. |
| Psalms 26:4 | One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple. | I have not taken my seat with foolish persons, and I do not go with false men. | I have not sat with deceitful men, Neither will I go in with hypocrites. | I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. |
| Psalms 26:5 | For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle. | I have been a hater of the band of wrongdoers, and I will not be seated among sinners. | I hate the assembly of evil-doers, And will not sit with the wicked. | I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. |
| Psalms 26:6 | He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord. | I will make my hands clean from sin; so will I go round your altar, O Lord; | I will wash my hands in innocence, So I will go about your altar, Yahweh; | I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I compass thy altar, O LORD: |
| Psalms 26:7 | Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me. | That I may give out the voice of praise, and make public all the wonders which you have done. | That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, And tell of all your wondrous works. | That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. |
| Psalms 26:8 | My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek. | Lord, your house has been dear to me, and the resting-place of your glory. | Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, The place where your glory dwells. | LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honor dwelleth. |
| Psalms 26:9 | Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour. | Let not my soul be numbered among sinners, or my life among men of blood; | Don't gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men; | Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: |
| Psalms 26:10 | For my father and my mother have left me: but the Lord hath taken me up. | In whose hands are evil designs, and whose right hands take money for judging falsely. | In whose hands is wickedness, Their right hand is full of bribes. | In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. |
| Psalms 26:11 | Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies. | But as for me, I will go on in my upright ways: be my saviour, and have mercy on me. | But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Redeem me, and be merciful to me. | But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me. |
| Psalms 26:12 | Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself. | I have a safe resting-place for my feet; I will give praise to the Lord in the meetings of the people. | My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations will I bless Yahweh. Psalm 27 By David. | My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD. |
| Psalms 26:13 | I believe to see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living. | | | |
| Psalms 26:14 | Expect the Lord, do manfully, and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the Lord. | | | |
