| Psalms 83:2 | How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of host! | For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads. |
| Psalms 83:3 | my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God. | They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place. |
| Psalms 83:4 | For the sparrow hath found herself a house, and the turtle a nest for herself where she may lay her young ones: Thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God. | They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory. |
| Psalms 83:5 | Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever. | For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you: |
| Psalms 83:6 | Blessed is the man whose help is from thee: in his heart he hath disposed to ascend by steps, | The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites; |
| Psalms 83:7 | in the vale of tears, in the place which be hath set. | Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines and the people of Tyre; |
| Psalms 83:8 | For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion. | Assur is joined with them; they have become the support of the children of Lot. (Selah.) |
| Psalms 83:9 | O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. | Do to them what you did to the Midianites; what you did to Sisera and Jabin, at the stream of Kishon: |
| Psalms 83:10 | Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ. | Who came to destruction at En-dor; their bodies became dust and waste. |
| Psalms 83:11 | For better is one day in thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners. | Make their chiefs like Oreb and Zeeb; and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna: |
| Psalms 83:12 | For God loveth mercy and truth: the Lord will give grace and glory. | Who have said, Let us take for our heritage the resting-place of God. |
| Psalms 83:13 | He will not deprive of good things them that walk in innocence : O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. | O my God, make them like the rolling dust; like dry stems before the wind. |
