| Psalms 14:1 | A psalm of David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill? | {To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.} The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted themselves, they have done abominable works: there is none that doeth good. | <To the chief music-maker. Of David.> The foolish man has said in his heart, God will not do anything. They are unclean, they have done evil works; there is not one who does good. | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. |
| Psalms 14:2 | He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice: | Jehovah looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. | The Lord was looking down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who had wisdom, searching after God. | The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. |
| Psalms 14:3 | He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours. | They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one. | They have all gone out of the way together; they are unclean, there is not one who does good, no, not one. | They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. |
| Psalms 14:4 | In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not; | Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people [as] they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah. | Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord. | Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD. |
| Psalms 14:5 | he that hath not put out his money to usury, nor taken bribes against the innocent: He that doth these things shall not be moved for ever. | There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous. | Then were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the upright. | There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous. |
