Psalms 14:1A psalm of David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?{To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.} The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted themselves, they have done abominable works: there is none that doeth good.<To the chief music-maker. Of David.> The foolish man has said in his heart, God will not do anything. They are unclean, they have done evil works; there is not one who does good.To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalms 14:2He that walketh without blemish, and worketh justice:Jehovah looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.The Lord was looking down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who had wisdom, searching after God.The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
Psalms 14:3He that speaketh truth in his heart, who hath not used deceit in his tongue: Nor hath done evil to his neighbour: nor taken up a reproach against his neighbours. They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one. They have all gone out of the way together; they are unclean, there is not one who does good, no, not one. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psalms 14:4In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people [as] they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah.Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord.Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
Psalms 14:5he that hath not put out his money to usury, nor taken bribes against the innocent: He that doth these things shall not be moved for ever. There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous. Then were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the upright. There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
